It may be a paper feed issue. If using a duplexer, try removing the duplexing unit and try printing again. It's often attached to the back of a printer.

Rollers make a loud noise when printing...do we need new rollers

Does it make a groaning sound, when picking up the paper from the cassette tray? If it does, sounds like you need to order a set of feed rollers. You can tell if there worn down, just by feeling if there's still some treading, just like a bald tire. Good Luck!

I have a dell 3100cn every time i try to print its says job too large no memory how do i clear memory from printer

this normally means the size of the job exeeds the memory of the printer, you can try this but if it works it will probably take a long time to print:
go into your printers window in your control panel right click on the printer and choose properties in the properties choose advanced and put a check mark in print directly to printer.

this will bypass the spooler

Sounds like the power steering pump failing. If it seems to be worse when you turn the wheel at a stop, it is time for a new p/s pump.

When printing, the printer makes a loud sound

I first guess that it is the drum going out. If you have changed the drum......it is more than likely your fuser. Have you ran a supply check to get the status on your supplies?

Ram disk

Stangowner, In this case, the print job is too large for the available printer memory. Your choices are one of the following: Press to clear the message, cancel the current print job, and conduct the next print job, if any. · Press Cancel to cancel the current print job. · Press Menu to open the Stored Print and delete the current job. To avoid this error in the future, do the following: · Reduce the number of print pages such as splitting the print data. · Increase free memory space by deleting unnecessary data in the RAM disk. As for the RAM disk: When you send a job to the printer, you can specify in the driver that you want the printer to hold the job in memory. When you are ready to print the job, you must go to the printer and use the operator panel menus to identify which job in the memory you want to print. You can use this function to print a confidential job (Secure Print), or verify one copy before printing additional copies (Proof Print). NOTE: The printer holds the job until you delete it by using the operator panel or you turn off the printer. (This is the RAM disk) NOTE: Print and Hold functions require a minimum of 320 MB available printer memory. Also, you need to configure the RAM disk settings on either the OPERATOR PANEL OR THE PRINTER DRIVER. NOTE: Depending on the documents, its job may be too big for the available memory. In this case, an error occurs. Take this link and print it out.
