Look on the machine and read the model number so I will be able to help you better. I need to know what the voltage is for that fan. I also would like you to unplug the ice maker while inside and take the wires off you ohm the fan to see if it's the fan or the control shutting it down.Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

The user manual is located on the web at this link below. Scotsman are usually very good communicating with them by email or the phone. I believe we need to go over the diagnostic and see what we come up with first. The control bord has all the controls on your machine so we need to see why the circuit is incomplete for you condenser fan. They are very good about helping their customers. But I think the office is closed after 5pm east coast time. If you have any problems downloading the user manual let me know. Go to page 10 and lets go through the diagnostics and see what we have, Sea Breeze

If you need any help on the test let me know. After page 10 it shows the normal process on start up. I noticed that the fan and the water pump circuit leave the board at the same place. Also watching the board will show fault codes. Did notice that some models were made with a pressure switch and would turn fan off if there was a change beyond normal. Let me know, Sea Breeze 864-487-4851

Condensor Motor not working

You either have a faulty condenser fan motor, or bad main board. You should have 24vdc at the motor if not you have a bad board (just make sure that the machine is calling for condenser cooling before deciding on your diagnosis)

Was the motherboard replaced because the temp was too high? May be the condenser fan was at fault all the time. Check you have power at the fan. If you have, replace the fan. If you have not, take a live from the compressor to the fan. This will bypass any hp or fan speed control switch and run the condenser fan with the compressor.

My GE GSL 25JFPABS Refrigerator failed yesterday. No Comressor no evap or condensor fan

Fan motor starts with the compressor. Sounds like you need a main board and condenser fan motor. Call GE. It might be covered under warranty. A known issue with certain models. You will also need serial # if you call.

I have an amana 90 home air conditioner w/ a amana prestige compressor. compessor runs but cooling fan not turning ,fan is not locked up and unit has power .of course w/fan not turning home is not...

Could be a couple of reasons for this:
1. Condensor fan motor bad.
2. Condensor fan motor loss of power.
3. Condensor fan motor capictor bad.

Unit has control for fan for low ambient operation and unit is low on freon telling fan its cold out side and dont run.
Hope this helps. wally

I have an intertherm furnace and the circuit board burnt up...replaced the board and the heat works fine....the a/c condensor comes on on cool but the fan will not come on

If you are talking about the fan motor on the condensor then I would check the start capacitor if it is an older model it should have a seperate capacitor in the elec. connection box for a/c condensor fan and compressor. Thank you.

My compressor cooling fan quit- the compressor still runs. I unplugged the unit then plugged it back in. The cooling fan ran for about 15 seconds, then shut off again. Is the problem with the main control...

The problem is most likely the condensor fan motor is starting to fail. This is easy to check, First remove the back cover and when the compressor is running you should have voltage going to the fan motor if you do the fan motor needs replacing if not then the main board would be at fault here is a link that should help

Inside strip of fridge is very hot. cleaned out behind fridge and the coils, etc. fan is barely moving/not moving. any suggestions???

Replace the fan. The strip has a freon line running behind it, and when it is hot, this tells us that you have a dirty condensor, bad condensor fan motor, bad evaporator fan motor, defrost problem, or a freon system problem. When you say your fan is barely moving, I am assuming this is your condensor fan motor, which sucks air through the hot freon lines in the condensor coils, and cools the freon off. If it is barely moving, it can't cool the freon. In some brands a slow moving condensor fan can be caused by a bad main control board. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Condensor motor turn very slowly.

I do believe you will find the Mother Board is the cause of your problem. I also believe your original motor was ok. The motor runs on DC voltage. There are 3 wires to the motor. The red wire is a sensor wire. The other 2 wires should provide 12 to 13 or so volts DC to the motor. If it is not the mother board is bad.
I hope I helped. supertechks

Relay won't stop clicking

Matt, sounds like you have a main board problem here. The main board is on the back side of the refrigerator. If you are handy with a meter you can do some checks. Is the clicking relay coming from the main board? If it is, than it's more than likely your problem. First check the voltage from connector J7-9 (orange wire) to blue harness to the left, terminal marked line. This should have a steady 120V, no fluctuation. If you don't have this, replace the board. You want to make sure that the condensor fan motor and evap fan motor are not shorted. A shorted motor will take out the board. At the fan motors harness, with the power off, if you read less than 1K ohms between white to red or white to yellow it's bad. This is for both the evap and condensor fan motor. The part number for your board is. back.
