Question about Toshiba Satellite A215-S7422 Notebook

TOSHIBA SATELITE 215 NOTEBOOK HEATS UP.

My notbeook starts heating up about 15 min after I turn it on. The fan seems to be working right but the air that comes out of the fan is really hot as I said after about 15 min after turning it on. Actually it shutted automatically off once.

Hope I can find a solution for this.
Thanks!

One quick and easy fix you can do is to go get a can of compressed air and blow out the vents and fan area under the notebook. Sometime when there is a lot of dust in them they overheat pretty quickly and shut off. Just like you said happens.

COMPUTER/LAPTOP OVERHEATING
When the CPU in the computer or laptopoverheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot upagain until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then theCPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes this problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged withdust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use acan of compressed air to do this.http://www.fixya.com/support/r5959377-overheating_computer

you may want to check and see if the cycling switch is defective...it engages and disengages the clutch on the compressor ..i would check and see if the clutch stops engaging when the a/c starts blowing warm

Suddenly shutting off power sometime beeping

Hi,

there was a problem with notebook overheating and it would be fixed by cleaning the cooling component ,check the heat sink and the fan. The notebook processor produces a lot of heat when the notebook is turned on you check

If the fan working fine, then check if the heatsink is clogged. In some cases you can clean the heat sink with compressed air,

Thanks,

Amana Cooling Condensing Unit fan stops spinning after 15 mins

Capacitor, dirty condencer coil causing the motor amps to run too high. But most likely worn bearing on blade side of motor causing it to pull to one side causing it to over heat and shut down. Sleve bearings should have no side play.

Heats for 15 - 20 mins then blows cool air

If the outdoor unit is in defrost mode the compressor will be running but the outdoor fan will not. You may even see some steam rising from the coils. This mode is to prevent frost or ice build up on the outdoor coil. Essentially it goes into cooling mode w/o the outdoor fan running.

Satelittle A75-S229 shut off

This is a oh-so-common problem for the Satelite A70/75 and it usually is caused by one of two things. If you google "Toshiba Satelite heatsink overheating" and/or "Toshiba Satelite DC plug" you will get a very extensive list of options to repair the problem.
This should take care of the problem and if it doesn't please let me know - it will mean I have something new to look forward to!

Laptop (Toshiba Satelite A60) keeps turning off

Is it turning off by itself after being on for 20min... each time? I.e. is it consistently turning itself off after the same amount of run time? Check the bottom of the laptop... how hot is it? Might be an over-heating problem. Some freeware (MobileMeter) might help you monitor temperatures and see if it is a problem

Laptop wont turn on at all!

Over heating can cause a computer not to turn on, or turn off after a period of time.  You might have some dirt and dust in your fan that you need to blow out with canned air.

You might also try a laptop cooling plate:
