I have a problem with my thompson tv i can not turn my tv on or off with my romote or my fingers

Did you try unplugging and replugging the set to reset? Checking remote battery? Actuating each remote function (button by button) twice in succession to reprogram? Also, could you have inadvertently de-programmed by pushing the PROG or similar button? Mfrs not uncommonly but that button in the wrong place where users, especially button mashers, are apt to push them trying to turn of the set. The suggestions above might reprogram. Other wise contact customer service for the TV and let them guide you.

Tip

JVC XV-S300 and XV-S500 Region Code Change

Try changing the region setting to region free.

1. Make sure there is no Disc in the tray.

2. Shut off the unit and unplug it from the AC outlet.

3. Press and Hold the "Play" and "Open/Close" keys,
simultaneously on the player and not the remote control.

4. While holding these keys, plug the AC cord back into the outlet. (TEST and CPU ver# will appear on the display)

5. Release the "Play" and "Open/Close" keys.

6. Press DVD Menu twice on the remote.

7. When the display reads s000 5858 use the up and down buttons to change the 000 to 02E.

8. Using the Left and Right arrow buttons, change the last four digits until they read 0000 for Region Free, 0101 for Region 1, 0202 for Region 2 or 0404 for Region 4.

9. Press Enter on the player.

10. Press Standby and wait 5 seconds.

11. Press Standby again. Your player is now set to the region you requested. If you find some titles do not play on the region 0 setting, you may have to hard select the appropriate region.

My 2004 Town and country van had to be jump started and now key fob won't lock or unlock doors.Took key fob to locksmith he said key fob was working, van was not reading signal and he didn't know what

The fob may need to be reprommed to the car. Do the following:

Grab your working remote. Push the LOCK button five times, allowing exactly two seconds to pass between each press of the LOCK button. Insert the ignition key and turn it to RUN. Push and hold UNLOCK on the working remote for 6 seconds. Push and hold PANIC for one second while continuing to hold UNLOCK. Release both buttons at the same time.
Push any button on the remote to program it. Then push any button on the remote that was already programmed. It has to be reprogrammed. The remote is now programmed to the vehicle. Turn the key to OFF.

Technical Question

#1 Customer has using remonte control which is not same and made for the Model we replaced laser #2 we open the same unit the one we have replaced laser, put 2-3 small drops of lubricant oil on tracking mechanism (shaft) so when you forward DVD movie in frames tracking DC motor was driving that lasser more smoothly, and made the big difference. It's very critical how much resistance DC motor have while reading disc. Customer was happy -We had rersolve this without any JVC tech support. Those liitle tips nobody has -You should make a notes yourself Zack-Tech
