Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone
Emial unread icon on home screen always shows 2 unopened even when all messages have been deleted from the phone. Is there a way to reset this icon? Thanks.
I had the same problem If you SAVE any messages they move to your SAVED folder they will show as new just go into the file cabinet icon and see if any messages are there all you do is open them and the icon should go away

Try this: go to options/advanced options/service books and delete all the email service books, SMS and MMS service books.
When you do that, you will lose all your currently stored emails, and SMS/MMS messages. You can send new service books from your carriers BIS website, or go to Options/Advanced Options/Host Routing Table/ press Menu and select "Register Now" a message should come up "Message Sent" and a short time later you should get a message "You have been regestered with the Blackberry Network". This will send you new service books, and you should have lost your zombie email.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
