This is a bad image processor. I hope its still under warranty as the part cost alone is around $400.00 retail. I just ordered one today for someone.

Issue: error code appears on the printer display.
Step one: Reset the printer
Press the On button to turn off the printer.
Unplug the power cord and universal serial bus (USB) cable from the back of the printer.
Wait 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the printer.
Press the On button to turn the printer on.
If the error message does not display, the issue is resolved; reconnect the USB cable and resume using the printer.
If the previous steps have not cleared the message, continue to the next step.

Step two: Download and install firmware update
Go to the product support page to download the update.

Click Software & driver downloads.

Click on the appropriate operating system link.

Click on the Recommended update to fix long power-on cycle and error codes and follow the instructions to download the file.

After downloading is complete, disconnect all other USB devices from the PC. Make sure the product is powered ON and plugged into the USB port.

With the printer directly connected to the PC, click the downloaded file FirmwareEnable_Release.EXE.

Click Open/Run.

Click OK at the Update successful window. The error should have been cleared from the printer display.

If you get a message saying a device was not detected (see Figure 1), make sure the printer is powered ON and the USB cable is connected to both the printer and PC and try step five again.

Simply put, the copier did not reach the correct operating temperature fast enough and that is a BAD thing as far as the copier is concerned. This problem may have been a a temporary mistake. So lets reset the code and let the device try again. We will need to enter "service mode". Normally only a field technician would do this but I will tell YOU how. Locate the yellow CLEAR MODE key located above the the numbers key pad. In order to enter service mode and clear the 542 error you will need to pres the yellow "clear mode" key and then press the numbers "1", "0", "7" and then press the RED "STOP" key and keep it pressed till you see the display change. So, in a fluid , 4 keystroke process, press clear-1-0-7-STOP key and hold it. When the display changes and the display says SERVICE MODE unplug the copier. You actually only need to turn the main power off at the switch of the copier but many people aren't aware of the location of the TRUE main power switch so you may do either. Turn the device back on as we will have reset the code and the copier will try again to reach a READY condition. The code will either return almost immediatly, return later, or was a fluke and the copier will be ok. If it returns you will need a technician. It would not be practical to try to help you troublshoot the problem if it re-occurs. I hope this helps. please let FIXYA know I helped you. :-) SPINAL

My canon copier No. 3200N gave me an error code E000003-0001 with a beep sound and goes off within a minute What is the problem? How I solve the problem?

Hello Info,
I can help you clear the code. The code means that the fixing/fusing assembly has a problem. This assembly uses high heat and pressure to bond the toner to the paper as the paper passes thru. I'm sure you've noticed the warmth of a stack of copies when you pull them out. The temperature is monitored VERY closely for safety reasons and the slightest variation will cause the copier to give many different error codes depending on if the temperature is too high or too low or if the copier senses a sudden change either way. A power surge or any type or changes in the power in your building can also cause this so we may get lucky and reset the code and all will be well as it was just a momentary thing. Ok, locate the "additional functions button" located to the right of the display. In a fluid , 3 step process, press additional functions and release, now the numbers 2&8 at the same time and release, press additional functions again and realease. So thats a 1-2-3 fluid sequence. You may have to practice this a time or two.This will get you into service mode.When you have suceeded the display will have changed. You will see a menu and one of the items displayed will say COPIER. Select it. Now a new screen appears with many items. Look at the top of the screen and you will see several tabs,select FUNCTION. Now the main screen will have a bunch of **** on it but locate the CLEAR tab and select it.The screen will change again and display many things. Locate CLEAR and select it. The screen changes again. Locate ERR and select it. You have now told the copier that you want to clear the error. Now that ERR is highlighted press the OK button located at the lower right corner of the display. You have cleared the error but we need to power off the machine. Not by the power button on the operator control panel, but the main power switch located on the right side of the copier toward the rear about halfway down.If you cant find it you can just unplug the copier. Whichever method you use, wait a few seconds and power the copier back up. Now one of 3 things will occur.The copier will reboot, warm up, and the code will return.Or it will reboot and come to READY and when you start making copies the code will return. OR >>>>>>>> You get a READY and the copier works fine!!!! I hope that is the case. If the error returns you will need a tech to come out and replace the fixing assembly.I wish you the best. My c7180 keeps coming up error OXC18a0201 Ink system has failed, it says to shut off, and I have and it comes right back

Problem occurs for me when i run too long with an empty cartridge solution press * and # at the same time press 1 2 3 and "support R0632M" should display press > and "information menu" should display press > and "configuration menu" should display pres OK and "hardware failure status" should display press OK "failure status:clear" Press OK to clear press cancel press cancel press cancel turn printer off unplug power cord for two minutes plug back in power on use your printer

Hello PRAL,
I will gladly try to help you, but please understand that E000 is a fuser error code and can either be an anomaly or if it is genuine the code will return almost immediately because of safety reasons( high temperature control ). Please forgive me if I over - explain things but I don't want to take it for granted that you are familiar with how to enter and navigate service mode, since that is indeed what you will have to do. To reset the code you wil have to enter service mode. To do that you will need to press the "ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS " button and then the numbers 2 and 8 at the same time, then press the "ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS" BUTTON again. A three step continuous flow procedure. Additional functions, 2&8 together,additional functions. This should bring you to a new screen that will have several new tabs not normally seen. One will say "COPIER". Press it. New screen again.The main screen will have several options but we will be using the "TABS" you can see across the top of the display. One of those tabs says "FUNCTION". Press it. New display again. Look in the main display and you will see an item that says "CLEAR". Press clear. New display again with a list of items that you can "clear". Press "ERR". Once you have done that, locate the "OK" tab at the lower right hand corner of the display and press it. You just reset the code. Now turn the copier off using the MAIN POWER SWITCH. If you are in doubt as to where it is located (not the button you see on the operator control panel) then unplug the machine for about 5 seconds. Then plug it back up. The copier will begin its warm up and self diagnostic check as it attempts to become"READY" again. Somewhere between the start up and making your 1st copy, the copier should display a similiar error code if the problem is genuine. If it was just a burp before then you may be ok. Fuser codes can be generated for several reasons other than a true problem. But if you do have a big problem, the copier will rather quickly display the error code again. At that point you will need service. I know for sure that I have provided you with exactly the information you requested, which was to reset the error code and I hope the reset is all you need to return to copier bliss. Error code H3 displayed on Xerox XC1044 Copier

this is the solution:
To enter diagnostics: Turn on the power and within 4 seconds press the following sequence: 'Clear', 'Exposure Mode', 'Clear', 'Exposure Mode' (Exposure Mode is the button on the far left). The console will go completely blank.

To enter a code: Select the first part of the code using the copy quantity buttons, followed by the 'Print' button, then the second part of the code followed by the 'Print' button again.

To exit diagnostics: Press 'Clear' repeatedly or turn the power off.

*To clear a fuser code:(14) Enter diagnostics, select '14' followed by 'Print'... exit diagnostics.

H3 stands for high temperature at the fuser.

Have you tried unplugging the finisher to see if that eliminated the code? Or gives you a different F code?
