I spoke to customer service @ Whirlpool and they told me that it shouldn't hold water. Lowe's is bringing me a new machine tomorrow I guess we will see if this one holds the water also.

    Machine is 1 month old.

    Thank you for your help

Old machines used to have a drain hose in the bottom to take that water away however they tended to snap off and allow water to leak on the floor .

On new ones they accept that water will lay in the gasket.

If it bothers you try putting a strip of Vileda cloth into the gasket at the end of the wash to soak it up .

It is bright enough to see and to remind you to remove and dry it.

Add a little Soda Crystal to the soap drawer , thsi softens the water and stops smells

You need to get a new seal. You can probably change this yourself. There is a wire clamp holding it in place that you will have to remove before getting the old seal off and installing the new seal. Finally, you will have to replace the clamp.

empty the washer. then remove the bottom panel of the machine.put some water in it and see if the water is leaking when it is filling or full.I have seen a small hole in the tub just behind the bottom counter balance where the mounting bolt goes you may need to use a small mirror to look under there.f94b104.jpg

All our whites are now greys washing with our GE WCVH6260

graying of clothes is usualy caused by / serveral things . too much soap / washer not rinsing properly / and gas dryers. change your dergt. use one with a bleach in it . and use 2nd rinse ( cold water ) make sure washer drains wash water completly . do this by cking the drain pump clean out .. if cloged it will slow the drain cycle and you will be rinsing with the wash water . also use H E dergt. . if dergt is still in clothes when drying this turns nylon yellow and whites gray .. .also seperate colors . and whites .. **** ..
