Question about Olympus Camedia C-770 Digital Camera

Fire a vivitar283 flash at the END of an exposure with the Olympus C-770

Is there a way to fire a vivitar283 flash at the END of en exposure rather than at the begining.
I'm in manual mode, and I've tried changing the flash modes from slow1 to slow2 and still, the flash always fires at the begining of the exposure!

Slow2 will only influence the actual flash.
The pre-flash for the exposure meter will always go of before (and trigger your strobes).
Please use special strobe that ignore the pre-flash.

You need to set the camera for second-curtain flash

First curtain = fires when the shutter opens.
Second curtain = fires when the shutter closes.

Connect an external flash and aftermarket bracket

For off camera flash with the C-770 Ultra Zoom, you will need the appropriate flash cable with your flash and aftermarket bracket. Please use the following information as a reference: FL-CB05 Shoe Mount TTL Flash Cable - this cable mounts to the Hot Shoe on the C-770 Ultra Zoom; and the opposite end attaches to the aftermarket flash bracket's flash shoe or to a standard tripod attachment thread (1/4x20).

External flash

Yes, but only for the C-770 Ultra Zoom. The FL-20 Flash and the FL-36 Flash are both available accessory flashes that cover a wide variety of lighting needs. The FL-50 is designed for advanced to professional photograhphers who need the greatest light output.

Indoor flash images are blurry

It is possible you have the Flash Mode set to one of the Slow Sync modes (lighting bolt with the word Slow). Slow synchronization flash sets a slow shutter speed for the background exposure and fires the flash for the subject exposure. Since the shutter speed is slow, your subject should be still and the camera should be on a tripod otherwise blur can result. Since this mode should only be used when the above conditions can be met, you should use the FILL-IN FLASH (single lighting bolt symbol) mode for most situations that require a flash for correct exposure. Repeatedly pressing the FLASH MODE button will cycle through the various flash mode settings.
