Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

1 Answer

No songs listed on computer, but they are on the device

My computer would not read my Sansa e250, finally got it to recognize. Now it says it is out of disk space...which may be true, however I cannot get to the songs to edit which ones should stay or go. You can play all of the songs from the player, but I can't find them when connected to the computer. Help

Half of song list not recognized by Sansa e260

i will surely help you. you have mentioned that you can see all the songs when your mp3 player is connected to the computer. so what you can do is, you can very well go ahead & format all the songs in your mp3 player using your computer. then you transfer a few songs to your mp3 player(the songs which were not getting recognized in your mp3 player). this should solve your problem.

Cannot delete the songs on mp3

I do mine through Windows Media Player
1)Plug in Sansa
2)Open up Windows Media Player and wait for the Sansa e250 icon to show up under the library. First time, might say 'What device is this' or 'Autoplay'-for autoplay, you click 'sync media files to Sansa e250 using WIndows Media Player'
3)When library shows, click 'Sync' if it is not already there.
4)Just simply click and drag the songs you want from the computer library to the list pane on the side.
5)Once your done, click 'Sart sync'

TO DELETE
1)Plug in
2)Wait for the icon under Library in WIndows Media Player
3)Go to Songs under Sansa e250
4)Right click desired songs and choose Delete. You only want to delete from Sansa e250-nothing else

To format it..on your device..go under..menu, setting and there should be a format option option there.. or you can change the device mode to MSC instead of MTP and right click on the drive which is listed under my computer and click on format..
let me know if that doenst work for you...
Hope this helps

Connection

Try changing the USB connection from MTP to MSC in the Settings>USB Mode>. If this still doesn't work. Plug in the device. go to Control Panel on your computer. From there go to Administrative tools. Then to Computer Management. My Computer>Control Panel>Administrative tools>Computer Management> Device Manager. The device manager is located on the left side menu. Click on the device manager and a list of components and what-not will appear on the right side of this menu. If you see under the Portable Devices component, a Device with a "!" inside a yellow circle, then you did not change the USB connection. If it was changed then you should see the Sansa e250 drivers under the drivers component. This means your computer recognizes the device and you should be able to do what you want with it.

Computer will not recognize Sansa e250 MP3 Player

You need to first update your firmware with a windows based computer (one update at a time in order). This will solve a ton of issues. Finally change the "USB Mode" to "MSC" with in the settings menu and you can enjoy your player

How to upload songs into Sansa E250

Th device may be too full. You need at least 6MB for each GB of music on the device to create the "database" or GUI. Delete a few song, restart the device. Best of Luck.

I can't remove songs with WMP

You have to first change the USB mode on the player to MTP (as opposed to MSC). Forget using the Windows Media Player (yeah, I know). Go to Explorer, go to drive E or whatever your Sansa is listed as....open it and it will show different types of folders. Go to MUSIC folder. The songs are listed and you can delete, e.g. delete mp3 and keep WMA of the same song, or whatever else you want to delete.

Deleting files from Sansa e250

The only way I know to delete music files or voice or FM recordings, is straight from the User's manual on the CD: 1. Set the e250 to MSC mode. 2. Plug it in to your computer with the USB connector. 3. Open the Sansa e250 drive in My Computer and browse to the MUSIC folder (or RECORD folder)and delete the files there. (That's where you also add music files, by dragging from other explorer windows.) To delete (or add) photo and video files, you have to use the Media Converter, which you install from the disk that came with the e250.
