Question about Maytag Dryers
Probably blowed the small fuse near the heat source. Maytag dryers are known to get slipping blowers and a large comforter would cause overheat with an already bad blower and a partially clogged filter chute. What I would do is get the front off and remove the drum ,clean the the lint out of the machine and inspect for loose blower wheel. The fuse is usually mount right near the heater element and some are held to the heater chamber by the same screw that holds down the element.
