SOURCE: how many watts does the tv take, anybody know?

Here's the link for the user manual if you need it; http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/PVC1320.PDF Check page 39. 120vac - power on = approx 69W I wouldnt get an inverter too close to that figure, but a 200w inverter should do - just check the inverter specifications to verify if the rating is actual power output - many inverter manufacturers are a little creative with their model names etc, but the real info has to be somewhere on the box. If in doubt then the best way is to evaluate your battery system capacity and usual recharging input, and match the current drawn by an inverter to half that figure, see what power inverter size you can manage. if you buy bigger, you get more watts per dollar usually, and you may want any surplus capacity later for another item. Also running inverters up towards their maximum often will shorten their life dramatically. Hope this helps :)

SOURCE: Old General Electric Television

You likely have a very old set 30 or more years old? If so, search online for a "cheater cord"

A gas range requires minimal electric current. "Any ole" circuit will do.

SOURCE: need owner manual for 8-watt Durabrand Home

These are actually fairly easy to hook up. First off if their is 2 inputs then just go from the output of the cable box to the speaker system. Now for this system I would guess just run the audio from the cable to the home theater system. then run the video from cable box to tv. for the tv. Look if there is an audio out then plug that into stereo. If not it may not be possible to get the audio from the tv to play through the stereo. Here are a couple diagrams that may help.

Amp draw on #SMA-64140A

At which voltage?

If you have 120V to it, 4,000 watts is 4000 / 120 = 33.333A.

If you have 240V, 4,000 watts is 4000 / 240 = 16.667A.

I have a Challenger 15amp breaker that is carrying my tv, lights & phone in the living room and the microwave in the kitchen. It clicked off and will not stay on when I try to reset it. What do I do?

1) First of all, you are overamping that breaker.
Look at label on each appliance for watt rating.
1200 watt microwave, 120 volts draws 10 amps.
500 watt tv, 120 volts draws 4.1 amps.
15 amp breaker rated for 80% safe maximum is 12 amps
Do not install larger breaker without increasing size of wire.

2) Tripping breaker will not reset.
Jiggle breaker and see if there is crackling sound and check for burned smell.
Breaker might be bad. Move wire to another same-size breaker.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-replace-circuit-breaker.html

3) Other problem could be electrical short, caused by Melted wire, melted outlet, bad appliance, bad surge protector
Unplug everything and see if breaker rersets.
Check each outlet to determine which are out.
Inspect each outlet and switch for appearance of burning or small of burning.
Then plug each item in one at a time, and see what is tripping breaker.

Pls tell me the watt for tv model th-65 pv 500m

The closest thing I can find to your plasma TV is the Viera 65-in model TX-P65VT20E, which consumes 635 Watts. This should be close to the power budget for your unit.

I bought a new panasonic home cinema model number sc-pt480eb-k. Its supposed to be 1000 watts but the output it doesn't match that output at all even with all the speakers on. What maybe the cause of this...

Hype on the part of the maufacturer's published specs.

http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SCPT480.PDF

Look at the Power Comsumption spec on page 22. "90 watts"

According to this post, 45 watts...

It would be a miracle indeed to extract 1000 watts of sustained power in any form, be it heat, light, motion or sound from a unit that uses anything less than 1000 watts of electricity, assuming 100% efficiency. Not to mention the dreadful 10% distortion level they use to get that figure.

To say it pushes 1000 watts is dishonest and preys on the gullible.

Drawing current but not producing any heat.

I am assuming this is an electric wall mount heater, if the unit is drawing current then it should relate to heat as 3.41 btu is = 1 watt.
take the voltage reading and the amp draw and mutiply them to determine the wattage eg; 240 volts x 20.8 amps = 5000 watts = 17,050 btu. if the unit is fan assited and you are drawing 1 to 2 amps this would indicate the fan is runnning without the heat element being energized hope this helps

Using too much electicity!

We have been checking our electricity units
Not sure how you are checking but your microwave would blow fuses or trip a breaker if it was drawing more than it did since they are only ~ 50% efficient (any of them) which means a 1000 watt unit is pushing the limits of normal household circuits anyhow.
I bought two Kill-A-Watt power monitors for our two households and we are all happy with their convenience and the ability to quickly check anything that plugs into a standard US outlet and they are plenty accurate enough for us heathens.
Take a look:
Kill-A-Watt power monitor
I didn't price-shop too much but ours came to only $14 each plus shipping of $10 US.

Basboard heater installation

if the heater is 120 volt or 240 volt its really pretty easy. at either end is a cover. remove the cover and you'll see a wirenut or maybe just two wires. one side has an integral thermostat. connect your supply to the two wires on the thermostat. connect the other end in your breaker box with the appropriate sized circuit breaker. wire size feeding it will depend on its current draw. how many watts is the heater? 1500 watts will draw 6.25 amps at 240 volts so you can use 14 ga wire. 2000 watts will draw 8.3 at 240 volts - so 14 ga is still ok. 2500 watts at 240 draws 10.41 amps. 3000 watts draws 12.5 amps at this stage I'd use 12 gauge on a 20 amp breaker.
