I have been using this same tablet on my 7 year old Dell with Windows Vista with little issue. The last time I tried to fix my tablet on my new computer, it said "Driver not running" followed by "There is an Issue. Restart your system and if the problem persists, redownload your drivers or update your software" (more or less).

The service is actually running. To get rid of those messages completely and use all features of your tablet, uninstall driver 6.05-7 and install 5.05-7 instead.

what you need to do is go into cmd prompt and type this: /configtab (you need to type it correctly, sometimes you may need all caps or no caps, it depends your software). get the 7 digit code that appears next to "confm" and go to your tablet settings and enter it into the confirmation input. and you are set to go!

i had the exact same problems with my graphire4 pen.
take a tool to remove the tip of the pen. just blow inside the pen, put the tip back and press it in back but not too hard. works like magic!

Your tablet is set under the handwriting setting. Go to system preferences and select ink under hardware. Then turn off handwriting recognition.
