Question about Jandy Aqualink - Rs24 One Touch Pool / Spa Combination Control System

Aqualink RS6 all lights on control panel lit and won't work

I have an RS6 - I noticed that the pool filter was not turning on an the buttons on the control pannel would not work. I reset the circuit breaker and now all the lights are lit up and will not work. I went to the outside station and pressed the reset button, but it did not change the inside panel. My pool is turning green so I put it in service mode and am running the filter that way. The control panel inside is still lit up (all buttons) and the display reads 6700 REV C. I would greatly appreciate any help. I am having 100 people over for a party this weekend - YIKES!

SOURCE: Why am I getting a 6700 REV C message on my AquaLink RS6 home spa

I had the same issue, but only after I pressed the reset button on the side of the panel. After a couple of days of troubleshooting, I found a small nick in the wiring from the outdoor unit to the indoor paneI. I turned off the breakers to the pool equipment, rerouted a new cat5 cable, but cat3 will work just as well, wired it up and all was good. A local pool guy wanted to charge me about $2000 to replace both units. I spent less than $5.

Good luck

I have Aqualink RS6. Screen is lit, but no display. Is they some thing I can check?

Check to see if all 4 wires are connected inside the controller (your inside wall unit) and also at the power center outside. After removing the cover outside you will see a red 4 terminal strip (4 wires) above the buttons. Above the buttons is low voltage, below the buttons where the relays are is high voltage, be careful.
Your inside controller (cover pops off from below) has the same red terminal strip that hold the other ends of those same wires. If you have a later model it may use a telephone type connection.
If it all looks good call a pool tech who should have a portable controller, he can plug in outside to see what happens. Good luck with it.

Auto shut down function not working (Jandy Aqualink RS6)

Jandy relays are known to stick. You can diagnose this yourself with a screwdriver. Remove the four screws on the outside panel. You will see a series of black rectangular relays and a lot of wires. Typically the pump relay is the one in the upper right. It will certainly be the one plugged into the left hand socket at the bottom of the circuit board.

Be sure to do all of this simply be looking. You can move the twisted red/black wires a bit to determine which relay is plugged into the first socket. Try to notice on the bottom of the relay a small black tab that is sticking out. When out, the relay is on. If the pump is running, this tab is out. If you then put the controller into service mode and the lights go out without the tab popping back in, you have a bad relay. If turning the pump off does not put the pump light out, you have a bad board.

In most cases, the relay is bad and it is a simple fix.
