Hi, I have a D600 with a 2gb card, i have loaded music onto the card in MP3 format directly from the PC, the phones says the card is inserted and the icon is there also to say the same. when i try to load music the drop down box does not show the memory card in bold and will not let me select it. I have also tried by connecting the phone direct to the PC but it tries to load to the phone and not the card, then you get the insufficient memory message - help me please!

Hi you need to check what format of music your phone uses some only use MP3 some use WMA then all you need to do is convert the music on your memory card into the correct format you can this by using google and just search like this how to convert wma to mp3 then hit search and that will list loads of sites that will let you convert it for free to the correct format,
if the music is from i tunes then it wont let you play it on the phone as you have to download it using the phone itself to play music from i tunes if its just normal music on your computer then it should just transfer but you need to get it in the correct format first
most phones use the mp3 format so you could try converting them all to that first, also does your phone recognise the mem card is it formated to your phone can you say transfer a picture on your phone onto the memory card if you can do that then the memory card is ok if it wont let you then you need to format the card to the format your phone accepts such as fat 16 or fat 32 you need to check this with your phones details
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
You cannot directly install iTunes on a Windows based phone - you do have various options, however. You can install iTunes on your PC and download music to your PC and then transfer the tunes to the phone using either file transfer, Windows Media Player or Windows Media Centre, or you could copy the music onto a microSD card and insert that directly into your phone.
Note that if you transfer music from iTunes, you may need to "translate" the file format into WMV or MP3 format befoer transferring it to your phone.
Better buy a card reader and copy in the memory card and the insert the card and enjoy music. This phone especially has a problem of "no good access" to memory card along with phone and also with phone.
Your music may be located in a folder your phone doesnt recognize...that happend to me at first.
First you want to format your memory card through your phone. This will place the required folders on the card.
I used Windows media player to sync the music on my computer to the memory card using a media port on my computer. (just inserting the card directly to my computer). Once music was downloaded I looked at the card through "my computer", and noticed folders...one named "Music" and the other named "My Music". I moved the files from "Music" to My Music". Reinserted the card into my phone and the phone picked them up.
When you put the pictures onto the card form your pc you have to put them into the folders created by your cellphone for example pictures to pix or pictures and music to my music on the card. How is your music formatted the razr will only read mp3 songs?
