SOURCE: my vax hoover performance 2200 keeps overheating

mine too.. I got local place to do a deep clean (sic) of all the filters but its made little difference. Hardly does a room before cutting out and then you have to wait an hour for it to cool down. am veryy disapointed

Yep,

Your filters are clogged. As a result the motor is straining and overheating, then a thermal cutout operates.

Clean the filters in the top of the vax and if you are ussing a cloth bag empty and wash ot. If a paper bag, replace it.

All should be well

check for a partial blockage in the wand/ hose ( rag-ball--hair ball ) Check that the hose is not collapsing at past kinks.

My Vax c90-vc-p-a cuts out after ten mins of hoovering. The filters are clear and we only purchased this a few months ago. Is there a simple way to fix this?


I have exactly the same problem with the same model, i purchased it mid August and stupidly did not register the guarantee within 28 days.......

I have a Vax turbo force 2000w hoover and it doesnt pick up theres hardly any suction and then it cuts out. Any ideas what the problem could be?


Yep,

Your filters are clogged. As a result the motor is straining and overheating, then a thermal cutout operates.

Hoover 1900w keeps cutting out


opened it up little senser near the moter on a wire moved away from the motor dont cut out anymore

HAVE GOT A VAX TURBOFORCE UPRIGHT HOOVER WHICH WILL NOTB STAY ON AS SOON AS I SWITCH IT ON IT GOES BACK OFF STRAIGHTAWAY, IT IS A VAX TURBOFORCE 1700 VACUUM


i have one of these too and it used to keep cutting out, replaced the filters and now it wont even turn on.  changed fuses everything, and now im stuck with a dirty house....
