Question about Honeywell CT87B ROUND HEATING&COOLING MECHANICAL THERMOSTAT - WHITE Heater

1 Answer

I can't get my Air Conditioner to come on ?

I just moved into a new apartment and have a Honeywell thermostat. I believe I am doing it right, but when I turn on the air it only comes on a little bit. The temperature will not change...when its really hot out the temperature actually rises while it is showing the cool setting on.

Clean the filters of the air conditioner. Also, if the unit has been running for a few years without proper maintenance you must expect lots of dust in the evaporator unit. This is usually easy to clean with compressed air.

Good luck!

Not sure if your needing info on air conditioner or a thermostat but here is the link to honeywell. Just choose your product and model #. If it was the thermostat your replacing, look back at the old one and write down what wires went where. There should be letters/numbers by each connection. This will help with the new installation.

Sounds like it may have lost power. Check the breaker and the fuse at the furnace. If they are all in the on position and working then it sounds like you may need a technician. If the display is blank on the thermostat you may also want to replace the batteries.
