Question about Sony Televison & Video
Recently purchased this RDR and done setup guideplus worked ok for about 2 weeks. Over the last week when Guide plus loads overnight from ITV host, all programme numbers are the same number usually 026. I then use editor to correct the programme numbers and guide plus then works correctly. However when in standby overnight again the guide plus loads again and yet again all programme numbers are the same, meaning I have to go into editor again to correct. This happens every night when in standby - ie EPG Guideplus loads but programme numbers revert to the same programme number for every channel. When in standby EPG comes up in the display now and again, tho I am sure that on one occasion I saw EPG Repair on the display. Appreciate any help you can give. Best Regards firstname.lastname@example.org

SOURCE: loss of channels
If you mean "losing" as in you could no longer tune to those channels because they disappeared out of the channel list entirely, then it's likely a software problem. If you haven't already, try resetting your DVR to factory settings (since this unit is TiVo powered, it should be under the main menu, Messages and Settings, then Restart or Reset system; follow the on-screen instructions to reset the system).
If you mean "losing" as in you can tune to the channel but there's no signal, then that sounds like a tuner problem to me. If the box is still under warranty or you lease it, have it repaired or replaced. If you bought the box and the warranty is up, it looks like you might have to get a new one, or pay for the repair out of pocket.
You might also try calling back to DirecTV tech support and asking to be escalated or to speak with a supervisor; especially if it's a box you're leasing from them, since it is definitely *their* problem in that case.

unplug the power from the reciever for a few moments. plug it back in and let it load. once its finished turn to channel 201. Usually it the reciever is on an unavailable channel (channel with no programming) when it restarted it will go back to that unavailable channel hince the black screen and no sound.

The green lights next to the line or pool buttons show the current Line Ringing settings for all
lines or pools assigned to the extension. (If a line or pool is not assigned to a button, the green
light next to that button is off.) The following ringing options can be shown by the green light
next to the line or pool button:
? Immediate Ring - on steady
? Delayed Ring - flashes slowly
? No Ring - flutters quickly
3) Press the line or pool button until the button light shows the correct setting (the setting for the
currently selected line or pool also appears on the display).
4) Continue programming, or exit programming mode.
For incoming calls, the line selection (hunt sequence) is set by the local service provider). For outgoing calls....again....it depends on the system. For the Partner ACS:
1) Press FEAURE 00, SYSTEM PROG, SYSTEM PROG, CENTRAL PROG at extension 10 or 11.
2) Enter the number of the extension to be programmed for Automatic Line Selection.
3) Press **.
4) Press the line, pool, or INTERCOM buttons in the desired order. The valid entries for Automatic
Line Selection depend upon the type of extension:
? Key Extension: Outside system lines, Left Intercom (the factory setting)
? Pooled Extension: Pool 880 button 1, button 2, Left Intercom, Right Intercom (the factory
setting), Pools 881-883, individual lines
For each button pressed, a display similar to the following appears:
Automatic Line Selection
5) To exit Automatic Line Selection, press **.
6) Press CENTRAL PROG and enter a new extension number, or exit programming mode.
Changing line ringing and line selection are tasks that are normally reserved for the Administrator of the telephone system.
