Question about Canopus ADVC-300 A/D Converter Video Capture
I can capture video into FINAL CUT from VHS deck via ADVC-300, but there is no audio. Is this common?
It should not be. Are you getting audio signal levels on the ADVC-300? I think it may be a connection problem. I always get audio from vhs, even through a camera or hdv deck. Never mind a converter box.

Capture it as a standard video clip (with audio), then export the audio track out of Final Cut. If you export as 48 KHz, 16-bit stereo, then there should be no loss in quality as the output is the same as the captured input.
