Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Trying to fit a jaguar cd changer in the boot of my 2002 S type. Power and fibre optics, connected power at unit it ejects but the car doesn't recognise, press CDC nothing happens.....HELP please

You need to get the head unit programmed through the OBD connection to accept the cd changer, the unit does not know the changer is fitted........a jaguar main dealer or an independent jaguar garage will be able to do this for you, about half to one hour labour charge.

My suggestion would be to check out your local ICE specialist or find the local Saturday night car gathering and see who they recommend.

WE HAVE A CD PLAYER IN THE CAR ALREADY WITH A REMOVABLE FRONT BUT ONLY PLAYS ONE CD CAN WE FIT A MULTI CD CHANGER TO THE EXISTING CD PLAYER OR DO WE HAVE TO GET A COMPLETE NEW CD SET UP

several companies have multi disc CD players that are in dash..
and others have the changer in a remote location ( trunk) and are controled by the head unit..
Which model head unit do you have? It could very well fit into the later catagory and support a remote located disk changer..

Do they make adapters so the cd changer will fit

CD changers can be made to run on adapters. There are adapters availible that switch into the cigarette lighter socket with ratings of 50w,100w.Or else if its for a small cd changer, check current rating of the cd changer.ideally the voltager rating would be 12v.Then purchase an adapter with the given specific current and voltage rating. And use it with ur cd changer.

CD CHANGER

The only reason it would say that it will not fit your car is that there are no current slots that will fit EXACTLY for stock models. Since you are having it installed by someone you can ask them to customize the slots where it will be installed.

Hope this helps you
