When my tv is playing regular cable the volume doesnt work but when i play a dvd in the dvd player volume comes out of the tv, whats wrong?

Good--sound when playing a DVD means either a setting is wrong and it can be in the set or a box if connected---it also means the audio output circuit is good.

Worst case is where sound is developed by the set's tuner there may be a problem but check all audio settings first---

Volume is not working

Try a DVD etc hooked to a rear a/v input and see if sound normal there.

If it is the issue is related to the tuner in the set as sound is usually first developed there.

If it works via rear inputs you can route your signal into those.

Hisense is a company that has gone out of business at least 2 times and are in China. They are well known for no parts or technical assistance.

Another option if using a cable box etc might be installing a surround sound system off the cable box for your sound--works sometimes.

Where can i find the volume on the remote for dvp3150v/37

Your DVD/VCR player does not have a volume but your TV will control the volume for it. If you do not hear any thing is because you did not hook up the TV right.
