Errors My notebook keeps booting but I never get to the main screen because it's always saying errors. Then it gives a list of errors like 161,190, and 163. Then it just stops, not allowing me to doing anything except turn the power off.

Hi there.
161 and 163 mean time and date not set

any error like this is a dead giveaway you're cmos is dead.
Its a really common problem.

192 seemed to be incorrect voltage or fan the fan blows out the side to the left and cannormally be heard or felt,

You need to do a check which is achieved by holding down F1 and powering it on, keep F1 held down and wait and you should get the config come up.
Run the system board check.

On systemboard check you get
dev001
err 91
fru3610 or fru 3810
or something very similiar

It means the cmos battery is dead, you will need to change the battery, in some laptops the cmos battery is different so you'll have to check.
To do this you need to take the memory cover off on the
bottom of your thinkpad undo it with a screwdriver and youll see a white connector to topright or bottom left depending how your looking at it with a red and a black wire.
This is connected to the cmos battery which is tucked under the black plastic of the case.
You have to wiggle it round a bit and pull it out but its not connected.
The original one has a yellow shrinkwarap thing on it.
heres a link so you can see exactly what its like,

http://www.sabahoceanic.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=213

Undo the plastic with a pair of scissors and prise of the metal clips soldered in place with pliers or something
making sure you remember if red is positive or negative
Flatten the clips and then tape your cr2025 battery onto them
with electricians insulating tape and then push the white connector back and tuck the new battery back in position.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

    Oh and i forgot to tell you, if you want to use the computer before you replace the cmos battery just set the date and time in the bios, save the changes and exit, the computer should restart and boot up, please make sure you have AC power connected as it may forget the date and time again and show you the errors.

    Regards

My Hp probook 4510s cannot boot it gives error of PXE failure after startup screen it says media cable check error.

Your computer tries to "boot" from several devices:

* floppy disk
* CD/DVD drive
* internal disk-drive
* USB memory-stick
* over the network, if it can find a "boot-server" on the local network.

So, the 'PXE failure' and 'check cable' errors occur either because there is no cable connected to the network-port, or because there is no "boot-server" on your network.

Enter BIOS setup, and check the "order" of possible boot-devices,
to ensure that the "network-boot" device is set to the _lowest_ priority.

What this could mean is that the computer *TRIED* to boot from the disk-drive, but *FAILED* to do so, i.e., you have a problem with the disk-drive in your computer. Ouch!

Can't reload windows xp. Keeps shutting down???? Acer 2700 Laptop

this happens when you have errors with the hard drive not responding to the new boot or drivers not responding. is this a clean install or a restore? if you are not using the original xp disk the machine came with you may get these errors. the blue screen usually has a message in it. let me know what it says if you get a second.

Press (F1) to resume, (F10) to setup

I need a bit more info to try to give you an accurate solution

Does the screen change after you press "F1" ?

Do you have access to an external keyboard, if so try plugging that in while the computer is off and then using that to press "F1"
