Find your dash light dimmer switch....... usually some kind of a roller/dial type of control.
This can turn your dash lights off and make them nice and bright, well at the end of the "bright" side if you just keep turning it will turn on your interior light.
ok for some reason by running the game morrowind it fixed my display. Dont ask why, I dont know but thanks anyway. Maybe it has something to do with the mods that I have put on it.(morrowind)
There are several possibilities. One is a little freeware application called LEDOff. Just Google "palm ledoff" and go to the first site you see. It says it's for the Treo 600 but it works great on my 650.
The other solution is to put some kind of barrier over the light, like electrical tape. If you're feeling adventurous, you could even open the case and put the tape on the inside so it doesn't ruin the look of your device.
I can't for the life of me figure out why the Treo designers used such a bloody bright LED. I mean, it's like a laser! If you try to look at the screen when it's charging you'll likely get a headache. But the utility I mentioned even turns off the charge light.
funny thing... the older palm treos like this one have some glitches. these glitches can normally be fixed by changing some of the settings.
1) go to your home screen, and select PREFS
2)select power
3) set your brightness level all the way to the right (NOTE: it takes more power to dim the screen then it does to brighten the screen.)
4) set auto off after: to the highest number allowed
copy and paste the complete link into your browser. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
Yes you can go into your display properties and look in the settings tab and look for advanced click that and open color tab or the overlay tab, color tab should get your brightness turned up, And if you can't see you can go into your bios and adjust your brightness from there and get it back to where you can see it if you can't write me back here so we can try another method. Ok I hope that helps you out somewhat, Oh yeah you can also hook up an external key board into your usb connections and you should be able to work everything from that too.
