Find the manufacturer's part number for the part you need.  You can order it from the manufacturer, or check eBay where you may find a better price.  Here's the link to the HP Parts Store, Fax/Copiers/Scanners:

Hp psc 2175 all in one carriage belt is broken and cannot find replacement

Carriage belt is not a user replaceable part. Hence you cannot replace it by yourself. This unit should be repaired by an HP authorized technician. Please contact the nearest service center to repair it. But I think the repair cost is close to the price of a new printer.

My printer carriage won't move???? It is an HP C 4180 printer. I put in a new black ink and it jammed. I know how to install the ink and nothing happened that was different except now it won't move. Can...

Make sure the cartridge is firmly seated in its holder. It's possible that the carriage belt has broken or has slipped off the motot pulley. Look inside the printer and locate the flat toothed belt that pulls the carriage back and forth. follow it to either end and make sure that it isn't broken or slipped off the motor.

The print cartridge will not move

There is a "belt" (with pulleys at each end, and the carrridge in the middle) that pulls the carriage from edge-to-edge.

If that belt is broken, or the clamp that connects the belt to the carriage is broken, the carriage will not move.

It's cheaper to replace the printer, and responsibly recycle the old printer, than it would be to try to repair the printer.

The belt that moves the printer carriage is broken.

The best way to find a replacement part is to find a non-working printer of the same make and model. HP's are very common and by searching the major ebay or craiglist website you will likely find one. Otherwise, post on one of the possible sites that you are looking for a non-working printer.

Broken belt on HP 882c

I have an HP Photosmart 7550 and the carriage drive belt stripped then broke. Efforts to find a replacement belt were in vain. So, with nothing to lose, I glued the ends back together (just to hold them in place) and sewed a thin piece of nylon tape, maybe 1.5" long, over the break. Just folded it over the belt and made 3 lengthwise passes with a normal sewing machine. Installed the belt with the splice in a spot where it will never see the toothed drive wheel. And it works perfectly!

HP PSC 2175 Cartridge Belt

Ok, I will try to explain how I fixed mine as best as I can. I took it all apart and realizing that the belt moved the cartridge carriage I thought 'hmmmm' and took the belt, cleaned it and the cartridge carriage and in the channel on the carriage where the belt sits (sort of W shaped) I put some 'Gorilla glue' and put the broken ends down into the glue. I let it set up for about 6 hours and my printer has been back up and running ever since. That fixed the broken cartridge carriage belt for me. Now if the other belt breaks then I guess I will have to break down and buy another printer but after 6 years of service I can't complain. And yes I have been refilling now for over 4 years. I hope this helps.
