you can order a wall charger and two batteries on Amazon for right at 20 that you actually plug the battery into the wall not the phone because it sounds like you're charging port is broke so you my suggestion is look on Amazon for the wall charger that comes with 2 batteries for about 20

Since you used an Ipod battery instead of a Garmin compatible one, I would guess to say that it is not quite compatible. Even within the Ipod family, notwithstanding the physical limitations, the battery are not usually compatible because of variations some of which I would describe below: - Battery has two wire and the regulator is on the device itself. - Battery has two wires and has an inbuilt regulator (small circuit board fitted to the battery). - Battery has three wires of which one is used by the device to control the charging - Battery has three wires and inbuilt regulator (small circuit board fitted to the battery) of which one is used by the device as status indicator.
Hope it helps you do your own diagnostics but be very careful especially if the rechargeable Lithium battery is bulging as they do explode when not charged correctly! NEVER PIERCE A BULGING LI BATTERY!
The batteries are dead. The battery in these scooter need to be kept charged or if not in use for a long time charged every 3months. Otherwise, like what to you, they will go dead.
