Question about Mitsubishi VS-45605 50" Rear Projection Television
This can be a very using these TV models. Usually it does not take Image in image modual. you will find surface installed capacitors which have to become changed. You will have to purchase the actual Mitsubishi pip capacitor package from HERE You also will require a stable head the actual the knowledge approach modify surface installed capacitors. This is simply not employment for your unskilled. Best of luck and enable us understand how the two of you made away with these maintenance.

This sounds like one of the 9 volt regulators on the small signal board is going bad, supplying less than 8 volts. I have seen this is several of those sets. The IC needs to be replaced and if you do not have experience in servicing projection TV's then I suggest letting a qualified tech handle it for you.

what if the pic doesnt stay on long enough to run the test? Mine doesn't stay on more then 15 seconds before it powers off. This happens everytime now.

I just had this same exact problem. I looked for an answer on here and could not find one. So I took the back off, vacuumed and cleaned everything out with the hose on my house vacuum, cleaned the bulbs and wiggled them around some. Voila !!!! lights on and all is working fine and better then ever. I hope this helps someone fix their problem. Just saved me tons of money and a morning of hassle.

My Mitsubishi Model VS-60705 did the same thing a couple of years ago...A TV repair facility replaced the Video card. Any repair facility facility that works on rear-projection TV's should be able to repair your set.
