While I am typing keys will stick like lllllllllllllllllllllll all across the page until finally it stops. How do I fix this?

blow out the keyboard and keys, with 'compressed air' cleaner~should solve problem

if not, then may have to remove individual key sticking and clean with q-tip n alcohol
be careful when removing keys, make sure to disconnect from computor first and remove battery if necessary~this way it wont connect to computor when replacing keys

Both of my shift keys stick in the "up" position,

Hi Brown551967,

Its the dust & dirt in the keyboard problem. If you have a powerful vacuum cleaner, try cleaning your keyboard with that. But before that use a long bristled brush between the keys to loosen out any stubborn dust particles. Concentrate more on the affected keys. If this helps the fine else you might need to disassemble the keyboard and do a thorough cleaning. Please DON'T try it if you're not confident of doing it. Just cleaning it thoroughly will do the job.

Hope this solves your problem.

Keyboard malfunction

Sounds like some water or other liquid got into the keyboard or could be that some keys are sticking. With the laptop turned off. Run your fingers thru all the keys going from left to right, up to down. This will ensure that if any keys are sticking that they will become unstuck.

Turn on the laptop and if you still have the problem then the keyboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

Wurlitzer organ, highest key plays note one octave too low.

If this is the kind of organ with the wire sticking out of the key that makes contact with the bus bar to create the note you will have to make sure that key is operating the same as adjacent keys. The busbars have to be clean and the contact wires have to be clean. Sometimes when cleaning the wires they will spring out of place and not make contact with the appropriate bus bars. Check that key against the rest and see what you find. Hope this helps.

Keys are sticking the keyboard. Can i clean underneath the keys?

Depending upon how sticky the keys are, it might be easier to buy a cheap replacement keyboard.  Trust me, it takes a whole lot of patience and a steady hand to take apart the keyboard key by key and then put it back together.

Keyboard removal

Removing the keyboard is not nessesarly your best option, the keys have a rubber boot under them, and are held in place/returned into their postion by a plastic spring/hinge. It is possible to carefully prise the "sticky" key from the keyboard and then clean the relevant bits under it with a cotton bud soaked in a suitable cleaning fluid. It is important to take note of the position of the plastic hinge in the event that you need to put it back together. To refit the "key", position it in it's place on the keyboard and press down firmly, it should click into place

Keyboard and caps lock

Hi,
Due to the fact that the two keys are both together, i,d say that theres some muck under the keypad, thats sticking the 2 keys together. Try blowing air into the keyboard. Or put a vacuum cleaner on the keypad.
Don,t hold me responsible if the Vac, sucks the keys or Keyboard Up :)
