My unit will heat the spa to only 72 degree when it is set for 100. There are no error codes. Anybody have any idea what I should check?

SOURCE: My water temp is reading 50 degrees too high.

This is probally your temp sensor. It will be mounted in one of your pipes and held in place with a stanless steel clamp.and have a wire running back to your control box and plugs in on the low voltage side of the control. good luck.

If the heater is set to 104 then this is probally your Aqualink temp sensor. This is mounted in a pipe with a stanless steel clamp holding it in place. If you follow the wire back to the controler box it just unplugs and the new one goes right back in. Easy to do and the part is inexpensive.

If you remove the handel and open thr top of the actuator you will see a set nut on the center of the shaft that you use to set where the valve stops. If this is tight then you may have a bad micro switch in the unit and you should replace the actuator. Good luck.

Hi

1. Turn off the power to both the pool/spa control system and the heater unit.
2. Remove the front panel door from the front of the heater to access the raceway.
3. Run the wires from the pool/spa control system through the opening, Thermostat is located on the lower right or left hand side of the heater.

Spa keeps overheating

Hi,
Faulty temperature sensor should do this to.
A floating thermometer should read water temperature within 3-4 degrees of spa controller. If it is greater than that your sensor is bad.
The hi limit is an over heat sensor it does not control the temperature of the water. If the water is heating above 118 degrees and the spa is not shutting down its Hi Limit.

My minimax nt only heats till 90 degrees. I set it up to 104 which is the highest and it only stays at 90 degrees. Everythig seems to be working well, no errors either. Please advice.

Either the thermostat board is defective, the temperature sensor is defective or not enough heat is being produced by the heater. . I recommend you call the Pentair technicalsupport at 800-693-0971 and they should be able to help you figure this issueout. I hope this helps.

HI I have my hot tub at 104 but it will only heat up to about 80 degrees. what is my problem

If its set at 104, but only heats to around 80 degrees, then your heater is not working. Either the heating element is bad, or the pressure switch is not closing. The reason why the water heats up to 80 degrees, is from the friction caused by the mechanical shaft seal when the pump is running. Either way, you should really have it checked by a qualified spa technician. It is not something that the average spa owner can normally repair themselves. Sorry.
