How do i fix a acer aspire 5520-5912

Hi

You have to re-install windows and the drivers its the only way to get rid of this virus unless this virus is a bios one then, you will have to google it and see if there is a solution for the bios virus.

but try rei-nstalling first.

cheers

Screen went blank after updating Adobe. Gives command at bottom left corner to press esc for start up menu. nothing happens.

Somehow it seems that updating adobe crashed your operating system. Take battery out. Keep pressing power for 30 seconds. Reinstall battery. Press power again. If problem persists check to see boot order in bios and test hdd for failure. Post here results

When i turn on my laptop it ask for a password in blue and then there is a blinking curser and black screen it wont do anything after that unless i press f2 reapeatedly or f12 but i cant fix nothing on the...

There are two types of password:
1. BIOS password. To remove the BIOS password, the solution is, remove the BIOS battery. Location of the BIOS battery, the bottom of the laptop. So you have to unscrew the bottom of the laptop, find the BIOS battery and release approximately 7 seconds, then plug it back. Then, turn on the laptop, enter the BIOS by pressing F2, do the setting the date, time, etc.

2. Password Log on. When turning on the laptop, and log on, then we are asked to enter a password, but we never give password to log on. However, when we enter the password, always fails, it means the virus-infected operating system (operating system has been controlled by a virus). These cases often I meet, the Windows XP operating system is infected with the virus. The solution is to reinstall the operating system. Repair operating system, or breaking into password virus, I've tried, but always failed. So, the best solution is to reinstall the operating system.

If you are using Windows 7, you can fix with, insert the Windows operating system CD, then boot from the CD Room. Solutions you can do:

1.
Boot from CD Room, select Next - select Repair your computer - Next - select System Image Recovery

2. Boot from CD Room - select Next - select Install now - check the "I accept the license terms" - Next - select Custom (advanced). Then, select the drive where you installed windows - Next. Wait for your operating system install process to complete. Then enter your user name, etc.

After entering the desktop, don't open drive C, D, E, F, because the drive is still infected with the virus. All you have to do is, connect your laptop to the Internet, download anti-virus. You can use free anti-virus (Avira or AVG), then anti-virus updates. After the update is complete, do a virus scan, drive C, D, E, F. If a virus is detected, Primary action = repair, Secondary action = delete.

After drive C, D, E, F clean from viruses, you can open the drive C, D, E, F. You don't have to worry about losing data, because Windows 7, will backup your data in a folder Windows.old. In Windows.old folder, there are three folders: Program files, Users, Windows. Data stored in My Documents, can be found in the Users folder.

Hello My PC is giving me problem, as soon as i turn on the power button it asks for Password, looks like bios password which i have forgotten. what can be the solution?

Yes it is BIOS password but Not a problem, its pretty easy to reset in a Desktop PC but you need to open your computer for it.

1. First of all turn off the computer and unplug all the cables from the main supply.
2. Now open your CPU and look for motherboard.
3. On the motherboard there will be small round cell like thing plugged which is called CMOS battery.
4. Take it out and replug it after 2-3 minutes.
5. Make all the connections as they were earlier and put the CPU cover back on.
6. Plug the power cables and turn on the system.
7. Now your BIOS is reset again and the BIOS will be gone and you will be able to login into your system.

Thanks !!.

Please post comment if you like the solution.

I have a virus on my laptop notebook acer and i can no longer open it..what should i do...

The best solution I can give you is to try Stinger from McAfee. You'll need to download it and either burn it to a bootable CD or Floppy Disk. You should still be able to access the Bios at start up if a virus is the problem. Set your Bios to boot from the CD or Floppy drive depending on what type media you used and equipment you have. Stinger actually comes in several versions. The version you use depends on which Virus you have. If you do not know which one you actually have get all the versions and run them one at a time until you clear the virus out. Your other option would be to take the computer to Best Buy or Office Depot and have them do it. If you can not access the bios at boot or the computer will not power at all you most likely have a different problem which will take a tech to resolve.

Hi,
This seems to be a common problem with this board. That error could mean any number of things from a loose cable to a fried chip. Flashing bios will not get rid of the problem.

Take a look at this article.

Remove the computer cover and physically inspect the data cable going from the cd rom to the motherboard, making sure its snug and the red strip is closest to the power connection.

Pc Seems to be dead wont load bios post moust doesnt work or keyboard or monitor

I have the same problem, the CPU fan spins, keyboard lights blink, no start up screen, or bios.
But, when I push a few times on the pc reset button, then the CPU fan is becoming still, the keyboard light are out and I can start the computer again in a normal way.
Can this one be a temporally solution for you too? Do you have any suggestion about?
I guess it can be an electricity dysfunction of a wrong fixed cable.
