SOURCE: Treadmill belt adjustment

There are two bolts on the back of the treadmill. Turn the right side clockwise to make the belt go left, turn the left side clockwise to make it go right. Never tighten more than 1/2 turn at a time, and do this while machine runs at 2-3 mph. Belt should be just tight enough to not slip. If your belt is really tight and it still slips you have other problems.

Seem like you got major issues. You probably need a few different parts. Your controller seem to be faulty caused by a worn deck and belt. Al three need replacement it seem.

Dear Sir:
The VSD, is installed in a bracket located side of the treadmill.

P6-P7= 115VCA
P8-V6=230 VAC

Be carefully you must do this with testing Dvom o Vom. That is you do not any schematic for to do this.

sincerely.

I have a Nautilus Bowflex 5 series treadmill. After 10 to 15 minutes running it suddenly stops and Er 5 shows up.

I will have to check the error code but sounds like a heat problem. When you get too much friction between the walk belt and the deck it builds a lot of heat which creates more drag on the motor. This causes the motor to overheat which in turn usually shuts the machine off. You can let it cool and go back exercising until the cycle repeats. If this sounds like your issue, try lubricating the walking belt. If it's not in bad shape it should make a difference. The machine should run longer. 10-15 is pretty quick though so it make take a couple of application of lubricant. The belt may need replacing if the need for lubricant becomes too regular.
