Removing the CMOS battery should clear Bios Passwords. The one exception I have seen is the IBM Lenovo motherboards that you litterally have to login to the chip and reset the password with a hinky little hack job made by a gentleman named Joe from austrailia. Which FYI does actually work! I was suprised myself. Anyway, Hope this helps!

Laptop bios password

Flashing the BIOS will clear your password, but you may lose other settings in the CMOS. The best solution is to move the Motherboard Jumper. That will clear the password only.

How do I change pass word in bios setting?

hi
On some motherboards, the battery is soldered to the motherboard, making it difficult to remove. If this is the case, you have another alternative. Somewhere on the motherboard you should find a jumper that will clear the BIOS password. If you have the motherboard documentation, you will know where that jumper is. If not, the jumper may be labeled on the motherboard. If you are not fortunate enough for either of these to be the case, you may be able to guess which jumper is the correct jumper. This jumper is usually standing alone near the battery. If you cannot locate this jumper, you might short both of the points where the battery connects to the motherboard.
If all else fails, you may have to clear the BIOS password by resetting the RTC (Real Time Clock) IC (Integrated Circuit) on your motherboard.
Many RTC's require an external battery. If your RTC is one of this type, you can clear the BIOS password just by unsocketing the RTC and reseating it.

Where is Cmos Clear jumper on motherboard to clear Bios password.

If you can't find the jumper, just remove the CMOS battery wait for 1/2 + hour and the re-insert the battery. This will reset the BIOS back to the default settings and you then need to set the Time & Date.
It may not remove the BIOS password if the laptop stores the password on an EEPROM chip.

I CANNOT TURN MY COMPUTER ON . THE BIOS SYSTEM DISABLES MY UNIT. HOW DO I BY PASS BIOS SETTING.ASPIRE 3000 SERIES

you can't bypass the bios setting,if you mean reset the bios, there may be a jumper to clear the cmos (bios) just change the jumper to clear, then put it back in its original place ,or take the battery out of the motherboard (very) gently for about 10 minutes then replace it ,then turn on the pc

good luck, let me know how it goes
