SOURCE: Broken Brothers SX-4000 electronic typewriters..I need a spring

If what you require really is a spring then you can buy springstock (long pieces of varying strengths of spring) and make one yourself. However, I thought that the carriage on these machines was pulled by a cable on a drum that is driven by a motor.

Beeping

If it beeps when you turn it on, most likely it is failing the post routine. The number of beeps will tell you what is wrong (if you have the error codes). Sometimes that will happen if the carriage is not all the way to the left at power on. Turn it off, and see if you can gently move the carriage all the way to the left and try it again.

Display Screen reads "4check printer". Carriage

Check the printwheel to be sure it is properly installed. Remove the ribbon and L/O tape and try it, you are looking for anything in the way of the P/W or carroer.

Sadly my brother AX-100 is stck at the left hand side of the carriage. I cannot do anything. The machine tries to get itself warmed up but then a bell rings repeatedly. I canno move the daisywheel housing...

With the machine turned OFF, you can move the carrier to the right by hand fairly easily - DO NOT TRY TO FORCE IT- if it doesn't move, look inside the machine to see if some forein object is stopping it.
If the printwheel is not in the machine, it would normally go to the left, stop and start beeping. Its not really necessary to remove the ribbon and printwheel for transport, but it is a good idea to put something inside the machine to stop the carrier from slamming back and forth as it's moved.

I have a Brother ML300 typewriter. I do not know how to get out of the tabs which are already set up in the typewriter. Could you help me?

Move the carriage (print head) to the margin you would like to clear. When you hear the beep, hold down the [ALT] key and press [3]. Now use the backspace or the space bar to move the carriage to where you want the margin set. Now hold down [ALT] and press [4] to set the left or [5] to set the right margin.

With power off, remove the ribbon and look down inside the carriage assembly on the right hand side. Look close and you will see a white gear, you rotate that gear, either way about 1/2 a revolution. Power on and try typing, if it works you can put in the ribbon and go, if not, rotate the gear somr more.

Carriage stopper

The printhead is the part that moves back and forth. It is stopped electronically. There are no "stops" per se. What does the part look like? If everything works properly, it could be a forien object, that is, something that was not actually part of the machine.
