did you buy an original battery or a cheap copy battery. as some cheap batteries don't have the info of the battery, and the kindle uses this to state the batteries voltage and its model number. if this does not have a info on the battery it thinks there is no battery installed..... also have you tried removing the new battery and checked the battery conditions on the board and the battery as the board can become damaged removing the old battery if not done properly
If it needs a new battery, replace it! With a new battery this clock should set it's own time. If it doesn't, there is a problem with the circuit and the clock will either need to be replaced or repaired.
This means it needs a new battery. But if your watch is about 5 years old it is best to have it serviced. The oils in the movement will be drying out and this causes the gear train to require more power from the battery to make it move. By drawing more power from the battery, the battery will not last as long. This shortening of the battery life continues until the watch is serviced or eventually a new battery will not get the watch to run.
All watches require regular service to stay working properly.
The red plastic cover should just pop off, then you will see the head of the terminal bolt. you'll need to remove the braket holding the battery in place, just remember to replace it to hold the new battery still.
Either the battery has stopped functioning properly and needs replacing, or one of the battery terminal connecters has become loose and needs to be replaced with a new battery terminal (as the battery acts as a lithium battery found in a pc to save the bios settings), but they are quite difficult to desolder and reapply, best bet is to probably get another mobo. Touch screen ribbon cable could have worked loose and needs tweaking or the connector is faulty and again needs to be replaced.
