Please try to check your audio by right click (mouse) My Computer icon (on the desktop screen) > click Properties > select Hardware tab above > click Device Manager tab > click +Sound, Video & Game Controllers > double click your selected Audio Controller device- wherein you can see if the device status is working properly as well as if the Device Usage is Enabled, if not click Troubleshoot tab.

Or you can also check your Sound / Control device thru Start > Contol Panel > Sounds, Speech & Audio Devices > Sound & Audio Devices - wherein you can adjust the volume & test your sound.

Or you will have to reinstall the sound driver. best regards

Webcam Audio Getting sound to broadcast with streaming video using a webcam requires a few components to work in unison. Because most webcams do not have a microphone built in, you will need to buy a microphone for your computer or locate your microphone input if you have one built in (some laptops have these). The audio and video are two separate functions and must be diagnosed as such. b> Webcam Software b> If you have a webcam set up correctly and you are streaming video, then you are already halfway there. This details only how to make the sound work, so please refer to an article related to webcam video if you do not have that working already. The webcam audio and video both communicate with your computer via your webcam's software application. Due to this, you will find that there are settings specific to your webcam software for sound. Because there are various software applications that can act as an interface for your webcam, you will want to do a product-specific search on the Internet for your application's settings. Most often you will find the settings for sounds under Tools or Settings, then choosing Options or Preferences. Regardless of the application that you are using to broadcast your webcam video, you will need to ensure that your microphone is plugged into the "Microphone In" jack on your computer or laptop. The microphone input jack is commonly colored pink. b> Microphone Connection b> With your microphone plugged into the "Microphone In" audio jack, test the audio inside your webcam's software application. Most webcam applications allow you test your microphone by reading a sentence and watching a graph move as you speak. If you see this happening, then you have correctly hooked up your microphone. If you have a Windows PC you should also see if your computer recognizes your microphone by clicking on "Start" > "Settings" > "Control Panel" > "Sounds and Audio Devices." Under the "Audio" tab you will find a section for "Sound Recording." From there you can select or change your "Default Device." b> Hardware Troubleshooting b> In the event that your microphone is not recognized by your computer, continue hardware troubleshooting by contacting your computer's support staff. With a properly connected microphone and some minor adjustments in your webcam's software application, you should be broadcasting audio with your video in no time. Hope this helps.

When your notebook computer is connected to an HDMI device, you may encounter certain display and sound issues. For example, if you have your notebook computer connected to an LCD TV and/or surround sound speakers with a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) cable as part of a home theater system, you may encounter some common HDMI display and/or sound issues such as the following: If you are experiencing one of the following issues, click the link to go directly to a section of this document for a resolution. The HDMI cable must be connected when it is configured. Use correct HDMI cable for your HDMI device There are three types of HDMI: 19-pin (normal head), 19-pin (small head), and 29-pin. If you do not see HDMI Output then you may need to reinstall or update your audio drivers. Also, make sure your notebook's BIOS is up-to-date. When using WinDVD to play a movie after selecting HDMI as the default audio output, the surround sound option may be unavailable. To resolve this issue, please update to WinDVD version 9.0 or later at the HP Software & Driver downloads page . If you are using the MediaSmart program, make sure you are using the latest version. My iPhone plays videos on the Internet but no sound comes out, why Is that???

If your having problems with no audio from youtube, myspace and flash video. I suggest this

When watching web pages with embedded Flash video or animation such as movie or video clip on YouTube and MySpace using Mac OS X, users may hear no sound. The no sound audio output problem happens despite video playback is fine, and the issue can happen on any web browser, i.e. Safari and Mozilla Firefox. Strange thing is that, when using other applications such as RealPlayer, QuickTime Player and VLC Player, the sound is played properly. And no audio output issue does not affect embedded QuickTime including HD contents on the web.

Apple Mac OS X support site explains that the no audio from certain multimedia content issue is caused by some audio applications that change the computer's audio settings to a sample rate that is too high for other applications to use. The notorious programs include certain versions of Real Player, VLC Player and Audacity.
The solution to solve the Internet movie no sound or audio output is to reset the audio setting in Mac OS X to original configuration:
  1. Open "Audio MIDI Setup" (/Applications/Utilities/), then check the "Audio Output" setting.
  2. Change the "Audio Output" setting to 44100.0 Hz.
  3. Quit Audio MIDI Setup.
If the Audio Output setting is grayed out or disabled, go to "Properties For" tab in Audio MIDI Setup, and select "Built in Output".

I hope this helps
