You can adjust your 3D settings by entering the NVidia control panel which you will find in the System Tray in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
I hope this helps.

the tv automaticly determines if it should go to 3D mode as long as the DVD player or say like PS3 or PS4 is connected to HDMI (yes those two game consoles will support HD Blueray 3D and DVD 3D movies) if the TV isnt displaying 3D look into the video settings of your TV to enable that ability also your TV will come with 3D glasses if the TV supports 3D
This is a very common problem with 18wos try changing your game resolution to match your normal display settings. If that does not work try re-installing the game.
The circumstances which you are narrating are quite clear that your display card is getting heated up during playing 3D games due to which your laptop is getting rebooted. Now you require to either put up a heat sink on your display card or get an external display card.
3d video cards are relatively new so if you've didn't recently install a video card, chances are you don't have one as 3d video cards do not come standard in most computers.
That said, go to
Control Panel
then System
then Device Manager
Expand Display Adapters and you should see the model number of your graphics card. Google that and you'll be able to see if 3d video card or not.
Best of luck.

2 dorect x diagnostic tool will Open > click DIsplay Tab and then Read The manufacterer and approx total memory
3. If your approx total merory is zero or 64-256 mbs You cannot run high and new generation 3d Games
if You Have aoorix total memory 0 -256 You should buy a video card for your pc
I don't think it was on all games, but it's quite possible that it was modified. As long as your games work and you have no problems with start up and shut down, there shouldn't be a problem. They may have taken it apart to try and clone it and with reboot it may have lost some of the licensed images. Let me know if this helps.
You might need to update you version of DirectX by going to the microsoft site, or make sure that the 3D accelleration is enable in DXDIAG.
If using XP go to Start>Run (on the right hand side) and type in dxdiag then press enter. When the program opens click on the display tab and check that the 3D accellarator is enabled. Also carry out the tests within the display tab to make sure that there are no other errors. Check the game for the version of DX that it need against the version that you have, your version will be displayed when the dxdiag program opens. I hope this helps
Check to make sure that you have the latest DirectX version for your version of windows and also check the system requirements for the game compared to your graphics card and Memory.
To download Direct X go to Microsofts Website. Some games require 3D accelaration. Make sure that this is active and avaible by going to Start>Run (on right hand side) and type in dxdiag. When the program opens it will tell you your version of Direct X and then click on the Display tab and run the tests that are avaiable there to make sure that you have no errors with your display. It will also tell you whether you have 3D accelleration or not.
