New jetway motherboard

I have a new jetway motherboard. When I started the PC and set the BIOS, is it necessary to run the disc that came with the motherboard. I only had to re-activate windows xp.

The disc that came with the board contains drivers specific to that motherboard.  I would suggest downloading the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website for everything that is contained on the CD.

Hi, you can download the right driver from here:

http://www.jetway.com.tw/jw/motherboard_view.asp?productid=52&proname=A350DMS

You maybe have to disable the firewall
when you install the driver.
Do you have the latest sevice packs installed ???
If not, run windows update.

If there is a jumper on the drive it must be set as slave.
I can`t se if your mainboard has a sata connection.

Hope this will help you.

Windows XP does have RAID drivers, but it really doesn't have anything to do with this problem. Try a bios flash with either updated bios version, if any, or the original bios. Your problem is much deeper that a hard drive or operating system. Your problem is in the motherboard, if the bios flash doesn't do it, then the motherboard may need to be replaced. Take it to a tech and have them run down the exact problem.

Windows\system32\config\system

You may need to go into your BIOS and change the settings so the PC boots from the CD, not from the HDD. It should then start up and allow you to reinstall or repair.
