Keyless entry not working

I have an Allister Access 2000 garage door opener which was here when I moved in recently. Seller gave me code for the keyless entry, which worked for a month. Now it's not working. Can I reprogram it? Also, I also recently had an opener installed on my other door. Could that have screwed up this keyless entry? There wasn't one installed for the new opener.

If that keypad quit after working since 1997 and a new battery didn't get it going it has just gone bad. The model number listed for your opener is now 53876.

Coding the keypad will not affect the remotes if you follow these directions.

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in a four digit code and press enter.

We have a Chamberlain Whisper Drive Plus. The keyless entry stopped working, suddenly. I have changed the battery, not the problem. I cannot get it to work, and cannot get it to reprogram. The keypad lights up when buttons are pressed, but when I press "Enter" the whole keypad flashes for about 30 seconds and then just goes dark.

If the following instructions don't work and you have a good battery the keypad has failed.

Keylees entry and remote controls do not work at the same time

There are two types of technology with this operator (rolling code and non-rolling code). This operator will except one or the other but not both. It is not uncommon for a rolling code (Security+) remote or keyless to lose the "rolling"part of its technology and become a non-rolling code device so it is not compatable with the rolling code technology. You will need to replace the one remote or keyless that is not like the others.
