If this happens only on small load cycle , then it can be a faulty timer board.

however check also the water level switch, when there is overfilling this part is always the first suspect.

How many gallons of water does the Kenmore elite SM9711174 use in each cycle?

Hello Tricia

Ask them direct, but there are a lot of variables in your question like wash size small, medium or large load, programmes, pre-wash or not, and the absorbency of the laundry in the washer.

All new models are energy efficient, so they use as little water as they can which also reduces electricity use. My Whirlpool had a sticker that said it uses about $25 of electricity a year.

I have a Kenmore Elite Total Care System Top Load washer, and for the past two days, the water level will not fill past the medium level even if the setting is on Large level.

The water-level switch regulates your washer's fill volume. This switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. If the switch is defective, it may prematurely signal the water to shut off. If so, you probably need to replace the water-level switch.

Kenmore elite front washer show code cl? How do i fix it

The CL fault indicates that there was an instantaneous current spike of 26 amps at the motor windings in the washer. This could be caused by overloading the washer. It can also be caused by problems with the drive motor, thermal protector or the motor controller.

You should have been able to clear the display by pressing the STOP/CANCEL button.

If you try running the washer again and continue to get this fault code even with a small or medium load, I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair the washer.

Water drains underneath washer

the load could be to small and all the water whats been left after the wash might be because you only need small pressure on a small wash and the pressure wont make the water evaporate. or you might just need a new drainage pipe i would put less water in next time and see if its better if not get a local self employed plumber.

Kenmore 80 series model# 110.28803890

Hello. Yes there is a fill level pressure switch. It is pressure activated by the pressure of water rising in a tube as the water rises in the tub. It's easy to find and easy to replace. Look for the tube and follow it to the switch. Parts for Kenmore are available at 1-800-516-9625 or at http:\www.sears.com.
Good luck.

Over filling

pressure switch pipe is either blocked or damaged, the weight of the water pushes air up the pipe to activate the switch to stop the water filling, for some reason its not doing so,

this is a small thin pipe that goes from a point in the machine low down, to a little round flat object (normally) up near the top of the machine inside up near the top

drain the machine and clear out the pipe at the bottom where it joins  the drum or whatever, make sure joints are made good
if i have helped please rate me
