Question about Maytag Dryers
No way to tell how the belt goes on as you are unable to see what you are doing. A diagram should be available. Company itself not helpful, except call a repairman. I have owned and replaced belts before with little or no difficulty, but this one has got me. Model MDET236AYW.
With the drum removed, loop the belt around the drive motor an run both strands of the belt under the tension pulley. You have to be carefull on getting the drum back in place while working the belt back on a LITTLE AT A TIME. Once installed verify the belt is not caught on anything and you should be good to go.
