How do I read Barcodes in Microsoft Excel?

<p>Bar code symbols are composed of a number of adjacent bars and spaces of different widths of pre-defined codes. It could be better to create a barcode that has these codes.
many readers only let you have 2 post-amble codes, eg code that are automaticlly added after you have scan your bar code. problem with this it will happens every time you scan something, which is not always desirable.

I have check engine light on

Get it scanned. Some auto parts stores will read these codes for free, but won't give much more information. Get the scan done first.

We have the barcodes to scan to emulate the keyboardwe are trying to scan units of blood that are for example 35 S 13048 the scanner reads 1313048..the first part is always messed up any ideas

Without knowing your application or scanner programming I can't be certain but it sounds like the scanner may be reading information on the code that you want parsed out. Check with whomever labels the units to find out exactly what is in the barcode (it's possible the "35 S " is not encoded) and then determine what you need to send to the program you are scanning the information in to. The scanner can be programed to pass along only specific characters that were scanned (i.e. the 13048) and to pre-pend or append additional characters as well (i.e. 35 S ). You'll need the scanner's programming manual to do that. Here's a link to the scanner's programming manual. Choose the first User's Guide on the list:

I have this situations: my system don't read any code begining with 0, please need this configuration for symbol LS2208. Thank you.

Your scanner must have been delivered with a "Quick Start Guide".
All you need to do is to scan the following barcodes from thar Guide:
1.Set Defaults
2. Scan Options
3.<Data><Suffix>
4.Enter
5.The barecode for whatever type of connection you use (RS232, Keyboard, etc.)

Can't read what is scanned

What you need to do is get some cleaning solvent from a Computer Store and clean the class. If this does not correct the problem then try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. It sounds like your screen may just be dirty. If you can print it and then scan it that is very perculiar. Try this and let us know if that fixes the problem.

DS6708 symbol scanner freezes keyboard

Have you tried taking the battery out of the scanner and then reinserting it? THis should reset the scanner to some degree.

It really depends which barcodes you scanned in the manual.

Your best chance seems to be a reset to the original settings, for which you may need to look at the manual.
