Press the Down arrow (from the buttons around the Func./Set button. Either turn the ring or use the up/down arrows to select the clock icon with 10 in it. Press the Func./Set button. Press the shutter button halfway to get the camera to focus on the subject as you normally would. Then press the shutter button fully. The lamp will blink and the timer sound will play. When there are two seconds left before the camera takes the picture, the lamp and timer sound will speed up. The lamp stays lit when the flash goes off.The Canon self-timer basic settings are on page 57 in the pdf of user's guide. Direct link is: . Page 63 has the details for using a blink as the trigger for a delayed shot (since I wear glasses I've never tried this type of timer). Page 64 has the directions for a "take picture after a new face enters the frame of the shot".

If the direct link doesn't work, start here: .

I hope this helps.

E000026-0201 the machine is not detecting the magenter toner

The x in the code represents any of the colors in you case magenta.
getfile.asp?rid=1258 August 23, 2006 getfile.asp?rid=3215 Product : imageRUNNER C3100 / C3170 Title : E026-0x01 Error Code Error :
E026-0x01 Error Code / Message [Remaining toner is low.] / Toner scattering inside machine.

E026-0x01 can be displayed when the toner concentration does not return to a normal level after replacement of the toner bottle and 5-time toner recovery sessions following the detection of toner absence.

In the field, this symptom occurred because the toner shutter in the developing assembly was not open completely and the toner was not supplied from the toner bottle to the developing assembly.

Workaround :
Before installing the developing assembly into the host machine, be sure to slide and fix the toner shutter so as to cover the opening for toner. Then, install the toner bottle.

Points to Keep in Mind When Fitting the Developing Unit
- Before starting the work, check to be sure that the shutter [1] is forced in the direction of the arrow. If not, move it in the direction of the arrow until it butts against the shutter [1]. If it is not fully butted against the shutter, you may not be able to fit the toner cartridge correctly.

- When fixing the developing unit using a screw [1], be sure to force the casing of the developing unit in the direction of the arrow as you tighten the screw. After tightening the screw, try pushing the casing of the developing unit in the direction of the arrow to make sure that there is play of about 1.5 to 2 mm. If there is no play, remove the screw [1], and tighten it while forcing the casing of the developing unit in the direction of the arrow.

getfile.asp?rid=17226 Memo:
This step is performed so that the screw base will not ride over the developing cartridge guide plate [1]. If you tighten the screw while it rides over the guide plate, the spatial relationship between the photosensitive drum and the developing cylinder will be wrong, causing blank output.

Have a Nikon coolpix 4100 and cannot figure out from the manual how to use the self-timer feature.????

On the selector dial press the left arrow next to the clock icon. This brings up the timer selector. Press the down arrow to select on and then select. This sets the timer. Now position your camera and press the shutter button. There is a 10 second delay between pressing the shutter button and the picture being taken. If you want to take another picture with the timer, you have to reset it.

Where is the self timer on the c-3000 digital camera

try to check this path: Press the Menu button, then press the top/bottom arrows on the Jog dial to select DRIVE. Press the right arrow and press the top/bottom arrows to select. Press the left arrow on the Jog dial to confirm the setting. If you take a
picture without pressing the OK button, the setting will be valid until the Menu is canceled. To take a picture using the selftimer, when the shutter is released, the Selftimer/Remote control signal lights for
approx. 10 seconds then blinks for approx. 2 seconds before the picture is taken. To stop the activated selftimer, press the Menu button.

Are you pressing the jog dial to save the setting? Here's what your book says:
  1. Turn the Mode dial to P, A, S, M, or C.
    The mode options are displayed.

  2. Use the jog dial:
    • Rotate the jog dial to move the cursor. autourg00230002id1608637.jpg
    • Press the jog dial to open a setting.
    • Rotate the jog dial to change the setting. autourg00230002id1608659.jpg
    • Press the jog dial to save the setting.
NOTE: Available options are white. Unavailable options are grey. Red options are out of range and may cause unacceptable image/print quality. Adjust the value higher or lower until it turns yellow.

I would like to know how use use the selftimer on the olympus 310

Page 72 and 73 of your advanced manual explains how to use this feature.

Basically you can have the camera selected to any mode on the mode dial - press Ok - right arrow to Mode Menu - highlight camera tab and left arrow over and then down arrow to the symbol that looks like a clock - this is the self timer option. right arrow over and make sure you select it to on - and then press ok.

Press the shutter button fully to
take the picture.
• Pressing the shutter button halfway locks
the focus and exposure.
• The self-timer lamp lights for
approximately 10 seconds, then starts
blinking. After blinking for approximately 2
seconds, the picture is taken.
• The self-timer mode is automatically canceled after one shot.
