it can be connected to propane. In order to do this on the rear of the appliance ther is an energy rating plate stateing the size of the gas jets. They vary in sizes between natural, town and lpg.the reason being is the pressure in the supplies are of different values

The kit is located at the rear of the range right near the gas valve, there are probably 5 spuds and an extender for the large burner, directions are with the range. For the bake and broil you will need to tighten the brass orifice nuts down as tight as possible, also the brass nut on the gas valve needs to be reversed
your local LP dealer should be able to do this for you if you are uncomfortable doing it yourself.

SOURCE: Need to convert our Q300
Unfortunately, Weber grills are not convertible from one gas type to another. There are no conversion kits available for your model or any Weber model gas grill.
To confirm this, go to the following link and on page 2 under Warnings, last paragraph, left hand column, you can confirm this, if you like.
The only advantage to converting it to Natural Gas is not having to refill the grill tank. The downside, is that you will loose the heating capability that Propane has. It burns cleaner and hotter than Natural gas, in an outdoor environment.
Hope this helped you. Happy Grilling!!
