Question about InFocus X9 DLP Projector

Open Question

Blue or blank screen on infocus x9 connected to laptop

The infocus x9 projector was working fine on my laptop connected with a 10m QED reference hdmi cable via a DVI -> HDMI adapter on the back of the laptop docking station. Then, I moved the projector, unplugging the hdmi cable but forgetting to switch of the laptop. The projector was cooling down (switched off but on standby). Now I can't get a signal on the hdmi, but can get a signal on the vga. The laptop recognises the projector, but the projector just displays sometimes a blue screen, sometimes a blank screen. Please help!

Try pressing the "auto image" button on the projector itself. This sometimes solves these types of problems.

Try pressing the "auto image" button on the projector itself. This usually will correct the sync problem.

I want to project to a wall or screen from my laptop and or my flash drive/but how?

connect VGA cable to ur projector and the other end to ur laptops vga
generally newer laptops dont have a vga
thy only have a hdmi out
so you may need to purchase a hdmi to vga convertor to be able to display on the projector screen
also depends on which model of Infocus projector u have!

Hdmi input issue - screen goes black after 20 minutes of use

Could be a defective HDMI processor word of warning to everyone never under any circumstances must you connect up any device with HDMI ability whilst they are switched on as static can and indeed does smack out the HDMI processor and can and does work out expensive in time to replace.

Infocus 5000 won't recognize my computer

How about a little more information?
Does the projector turn on?
has it ever worked?
What type of interface (VGA, DVI, HDMI, RCA)
What type of computer (notebook or desktop)

That being said, double check your cable connections and make sure you tell your computer to look for the projector (Dell laptops used to use FN+F8 to switch from laptop to projector). Windows 7 has a menu choice "Connect to Projector". Mac computers - check system preferences and make sure the projector is ON before you plug it into the Mac.

PS3 to Infocus LP 350 projector using HDMI

Hi,

M1-DA is a type of DVI connection that produces both analogue and digital signals, the easiest and most quality source cable for you to get is a HDMI to M1-DA cable which is now widely available for purchase.

Infocus should have included this cable in with your projector, but instead the power at bee decided to put a M1-DA to DVI-D cable instead when most visual devices now support HDMI and not DVI nowadays.

Thanks

Blank screen

First check if the cables are working properly. Check for loose connections and any kinks in the cables. If they are fine, try a hard reset - Unplug from power source, remove cables. Wait about 10 minutes. Now redo everything and plug in. If it still does not work, then you will have to get the device serviced..
