It will not accelerate. I push on the gas and it won't go. I changed the oil a week ago and about a year ago i changed the fuel pump


Well an oil change is probably not the cause.
What IS it doing? You're telling me what it isn't doing...

You need to have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes , There is a problem with throttle actuator control (TAC) - electronic throttle control !
Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Overview
The throttle actuator control (TAC) system uses vehicle electronics and components to calculate and control the position of the throttle blade. This eliminates the need for a mechanical cable attachment from the accelerator pedal to the throttle body. This system also performs the cruise control functions as well.
The TAC system components include, but are not limited to the following:

The accelerator pedal position (APP) sensors

The throttle body

?€¢
The powertrain control module (PCM)
Each of these components interface together to ensure accurate calculations and control of the throttle position (TP).

Why does my 2000 camaro 3.8 have a random surge during acceleration when the Asr is turned on?


ASR is your traction control, the reason why you have a surge is that the ASR is calculating how much force to give to each tire based on sensor data, and this takes time. When you turn it off, the acceleration is treated like any other car with out traction control. The 2000-2003 Camaro had one big complaint, a laggy traction control. You could potentially fix this by replacing the computer unit with a faster aftermarket model and changing sensors out with more efficient models, also tuning the engine can help reduce lag time or acceleration delay.

If a car went from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, using the accelerationn formula how would I find the average acceleration?


Convert the speed from km / h to m/s.
Change in speed = (Final speed (in m/s) - initial speed (0))/ 3.7 s
The result is the average acceleration in m / s^2.
100 km /h = (100 000 m)/ (3600 s)= 27.7778 m/s

For any free-falling object, the distance traveled by that object can be represented as:

s = 1/2 g t2


where

s = distance traveled by the object, g = gravity, t = time




So, if we resolve for g, we get:



g = (2 x s) / t2




So, by replacing the known values we get the acceleration of gravity for that planet:

g = 7 m/s2

Let g_e the acceleration of gravity at the surface of the Earth, M_e the mass of the Earth, and R_e the radius of the Earth
For Mars, we have g_m, M_m, and R_m.
g_e=G*M_e/(R_e)^2
g_m=G*M_m/(R_m)2
g_m/g_e=(M_m/M_e)*(R_e/R_m)^2=(0.11)(1/0.53)^2=0.11/(0.53)^2
g_m=0.11*g_e/(0.53)^2
