Could be a number of things from your final and driver to your audio IC .you may need a transistorchecker to find a problem with the finals and driver and a vom meter to check the IC but it could be a resistor in the area of the audio IC that is burnt. To find out what the problem is you will need a schematic of the radio. As I have a number od midlands I can tell you that if you don't have a service manual you may not have one.I have looked several time for my radios and I can't find anything. www.cbtricks.com has a few.

Why will Amp not produce sound unless the input and output are patched together

A typical stereo receiver / amp consists of switching low level input signals (CD, DVD, Phono, DAT, etc.), processing them and then output to the amplifier (low level) input for amplification to levels needed to drive speakers. The low level signals would barely be audible via an earphone, so they need to be boosted significantly in order to drive speakers.

Some amps provide jumpers to insert into the phono jacks on the rear of the amp to bridge the processed low level output signals into the low level amplifier input. You could install a Y cable here to feed two amplifiers - or - connect a tape recorder's "REC L+R" to the low level output and the "PLAY L+R" to the low level amp input so that you'd hear the actual audio as it had been recorded on the tape.

If you remove the jumpers (or tape recorder if used instead), there is no way for the low level audio to get into the amp's low level inputs for amplification.

Pioneer elite sx-a6 keeps going to standby

I had a receiver that would shut off when I had the volume too loud. It was caused because the speakers were using too much juice. Does it work with less speakers or at low low volumes? Then this may be the case.

I solved it by getting a different receiver.

if it has nothing to do with volume then check your manual and settings for a auto standby feature that may be just putting the receiver to standby after a set time.

Onkyo hts 7300

the sub woofer start working when receive signal of low frequency I would say 20 to 200 Hz or depend the setup on the knob on the back of the box. if your audio do not have a low frequency then, there will be no output from your sub.
about the audio from your tv. there are many setup from your Audio out from the TV to the audio input of your receiver.
I would disconnect all the wires and try again. (read manual)TV and Receiver

The sound level from analog input is very low, good quality but low, optical connections work well. Have checked cables, tried all the analog input jacks with same result.

test analog input with another receiver ,if it comes out same low , good quality sound level ,then issue/problem is on input source not on receiver. Sometimes the way source audio was recorded causes these issue on high quality receivers...

Dear Sirs, I have a Pioneer AV Receiver model VSX-817 and is connected to Monitor Audio Speakers (Fronts: BR5, Center: BR-LCR, Rears: BR1), Sub: MS309 (Mordaunt Short). I have connected each front...

Did you remember to remove the shorting link on the MA BR5 speaker terminal ..When you biwire the speakers you should remember to loosen the speaker terminal nuts and remove the shorting link plate between the HF and the LF terminals or you will short the amplifiers two channels together through the link. And modern amplifiers will take a lot of abuse at low volumes but at high volumes the protection circuit will turn off the device.

Receiver very low when watching tv or dvd

It's just "Digital Audio" vs "Analog Audio" You can use the "Volume Offset" function in the receivers "Main Menu" to compensate for this. Go into the menu then go to audio and or input settings and you can adjust the offset and lock it in. If you still have a problem, post a comment and I can help you some more. There is not a "problem" it's just the way the audio is transmitted. Like when your watching TV and a commercial comes on and BLOWS you out of the room. That's going from clean digital to noisy analog.
