Question about Televison & Video
Suddenly the Sd900ky DVD player will not power on. Is there a fuse or relay I can check? It is just dead.

The main problem I have found with these DVD recorders is the power supply unit is NOT up to the job. ALL the one's I have looked at have had bulging capacitors in the power supply unit.
Quality is not the watchword with these Chinese built recorders and spare parts are virtually unobtainable. My advice is to junk it and invest in a much more reliable DVD recorder.

SOURCE: Philips DVD player ... No Power?
Yes! that is the most logical, the power supply board is usually where cap will be located, sometimes it will have a slight bulge at the top telling you it is open.

Testimonial: "Yes ... I also thought that this 150 mfd capacitor was the cause, but can NOT figure out how to take the unit apart in order to unsolder it? So I'm selling it on eBay for $5.00 for parts? View eBay item: 330705929970 THANKS :-)"
