Picture seems "bent" or "bowed" up from the bottom of the screen. Example: any menus on the TV that scroll on the bottom of the screen are distorted and then copied above in a bowed arc in red.

    ???

The RF it's fine until Menu is pressed on. The picture at the bottom center gets bowed up. It's only red and blue, green color stay normal. It's not the convergence amps -stk 392-110. Thanks.

I got a GMC Sierra with a 350 engine and a 7r400 transmission. My issue is when I turn left and right or go up hills my transmission has issues shifting. Transmission good its been removed and checked out....

okay the transmission is probably fine ,,,but if you are having these problems like this have your trans axles checked out ..anytime you put the vehicle in a bind that creates hard shifting you are heading for expensive repairs ..Have the ball joints checked as well to see if all of this smooths the transmission out ..It could be something simple ..also remember that a faulty steering can cause this

I think I may have messed up the clips???

they should be bent away from the walls they are mounted on and if you have tryed this maybe either it has not been bent enough or it has been bent too much when looking at them from the side it should almost be a quarter moon shape. if I where you I would attempt to try a few more times making sure both left and right clips are about the same distance out.

hopefully it will snap into place.

Copier indicates paper jam, but there is NO paper jam.

Most of the time when I see this problem in the field it is cause by a bent or broken fuser gate. The gate is behind the right side door and is shown in the picture. What happens is at the rear side there is a little tab that sticks out. You can see it in the picture at the far end. That little tab trips a photo sensor. If this bar gets bent or broken then that tab does not go in far enough to trip the sensor and the machine will show a jam all the time. Normally you can fix this by opening this "gate" with the little lever shown at the front end of the picture. Then twist the plastic by pushing the sensor tab at the far end in towards the sensor hole. What you are trying to do is get that sensor tab to go farther into the sensor hole so as to trip the sensor. Once it moves farther in just shut the right side door back and see if the jam is reset.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

PICTURE ON TV LOOKS BENT. ALL STRAIGHT LINE ARE CURVED

In order to provide a correct dianosis and cure, I will need to know the model number and in which direction the bow occurs. Does the curve occur from the top and bottom toward the center or from the sides toward the center? There are different circuits involved in these case.

Please update this and I'll provide a solution.

Thanks,
Dan

Subject is dark when looking through the viewfinder

Take the lens off and look at the lens opening on the body - at the 9 o'clock position is the aperture stopdown lever. It should be square to the edge - not bent sideways or too far from the side. It's a pretty flimsy lever and easily bent. You can bend it back square by grabbing with pliers and pushing toward the left side. Common problem.

Bent Picture at top and bottom

You have bad convergence amps. The fluid may need to be changed if the picture had a hazey look to it before the convergence went bad.

Help

You need to have the convergence IC's replaced. A repair like this should run you about 300 bucks or so. In most places.
