Go in to Device Manager under Control Panel ' Administrative Tools ' Computer Management and see if there is a yellow bang next to the sound card. If so, try reinstalling the driver. If this does not solve the problem there may be a problem with the connector.
If there is not a yellow band next to the sound card, there could be a Windows setting that has the volume turned all the way down.
Or, try connecting head phones to the headphone ports to see if you hear sounds.

Sounds like the battery is faulty, or is not charging properly. Can you remove the battery and try it on another (heavy load) device? At least check with a voltmeter and put a (say) torch/car bulb across the contacts
Hello There is a fuse inside the power supply bard of your sylvania TV. Check whether it has blown out. If bllown out, replace it with same type bothe in size and amperage. If the newly inserted fuse also blow up as soon as you switch on the set, make sure that the power supply section has some short circuit in it, and should be cheked well. OK.
The problem with your phone is as a result of a bad flex connector cable which connects the touch screen to the panel,it's weak and needs to be replaced.
However,the solution is to take apart the phone and remove the flex cable which is in form of a ribbon situated behind the touch screen and replace it with a newly purchased flex cable.
