Exit the menu that comes up about time & date when you turn it on. Then press the menu button, use the left navigation button, then scroll down to date & time, and set it there. For some reason when it comes up the navigation buttons won't let you set the time, but when accessed from the menu, it will.

Can't set the date polaroid a500

It looks like the date battery has dried out, check your user manual and try to replace with a new button battery.

Broken screen

well it could be replaced but to be honest you would be better off buying a new one it would cost you more to fix it than to buy a new one just like it

The Flash will not work

1. Turn on the camera.
2. Set the camera to Still Image mode.
3. Press the Flash button to cycle through the flash settings and select the one you need.
The flash range: 3 ft to 6.7 ft (1 m to 2 m).

To find Find Flash button, see user manual or download it here

Pictures taken at night yellowihs an dreddish

In photo editing programs there are Hue settings where you can easily fix that problem. There are off course night lens filters but not for amateur cameras.

Time & date

What could be happening is the you mother board is bad already. Usually digital cameras like computers use a button cell battery inside to keep the bios in memory or the board uses the installed batteries to keep the bios in memory but at a very slow power consuption rate. Everything comes down to pretty much a bad circuit somewhere that is causing memory lost and high consuption of battery power.

Also i've noticed that a lot of people with this camera is having the same problem. This called be because of mass production you all could have a bad batch. Meaning your cameras came off the assembly line around the same time.
