If all looks good try right clicking on network status icon in sys tray and use repair. A more advance option would be to use ipconfig from the command prompt.

Start > Run (search in Win 7) > type ipconfig /release. Then ipconfig /renew. ipconfig ? will show you all the options. Good luck.

Computer working offline wont let me connect to internet

the easiest thing to try would be to restore from the last good point. have you done that?

let know also if you recently installed anything.

if not, we can try to renew the TCP/IP

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
ping neosmart.net
ping 209.200.246.147

Try 'IPCONFIG /RELEASE', then 'IPCONFIG /RENEW', to see if your computer can obtain a new "lease" from your ISP's DHCP-server. If not, telephone your ISP, and get them to trouble-shoot from their end (peeking into your cable-modem).

Try power-cycling the cable-modem, and any wired/wireless router that is in the mix.

I cant connect to the internet now using my laptop, Says it connected to my home hub, but wont connect to internet

sometimes restarting the rourter helps. unplug it, wait a minute, then replug it back in. and restart the laptop. if that doesn't work, try this..
click start....click run...type cmd then click ok...copy and paste this into cmd window...
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
exit
that should help and if THAT doesnt work, go here..and try the solution as it might need a winsock-lsp repair... http://cexx.org/lspfix.htm i hope this helps merry christmas.
