Hello,

The problem you are having is most likely from having a bad battery. Simply replacing it could fix your problem. It could also be due to a bad power cable that is not giving the correct voltage. Here is a link to the user manuel that explains this and any thing else you may want to know: User Manuel

I hope that this helps you!

Hi, there is a factory wire (red with a black stripe) in your car for illuminating the stock radio. This wire is not to be used in an aftermarket radio, so you need to make sure it isn't connected and also isolate and bare wire with electrical tape. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

What do the various led light colors mean? I have

The LEDs each indicate something is conected or normal. There is one for hard drive activity, power, battery, and wireless. Blue is good. Orange is bad. First take the charger to a shop to have it checked. If bad replace it. If good the the problem is either battery or the connector on laptop. Since the battery is new it sounds like the connector to me.

Flashing orange and yellow lights

Most likely your battery is dead.
If you are worried about your HD , the best thing to do would be to power it off.
Remove the battery and see if it will boot on the AC adapter.
If it boots , just get a new battery.
If not you have a motherboard issue and need to call Acer if it is under warranty.
